On mocking people with disabilities...

I dislike when people make fun of people that have disabilities. Mocking a person for things they can't control makes you so fucking cool, right? I bet you feel so good inside making your funny little joke as you walk by laughing, thinking yourself so superior to whomever your having a good laugh at.

When I was 5, I was in a car accident that nearly killed me. Should have killed me according to paramedics, doctors, nurses and such. I couldn't walk right away when I finally got out of the hospital so I had to be in a wheel chair for a while. I hated the wheel chair. I hated how people stared, pointed, laughed, scowled, judged. People who wouldn't have given me a second look otherwise.

Outwardly, I looked fine. They couldn't see my leg that had been run over by a car driven by the drunk driver that nearly took my life and left me with issues I still deal with today, twenty years later. They couldn't see the leg that was fucked up, that still has an 11 in scar running down the length of it from where it was stapled because my leg had been crushed and split open. Outwardly, I didn't seem to need to be in a wheel chair.

I didn't like going places because that meant people would stare at me. People would point. I would hear people speculating about what could be wrong with me. I would see people scowling at me and then at my parents. I would see people judging me, a small child, just because something was wrong with me. I would see people laughing at me like it were funny; clearly I never got the joke.

My boyfriend has had two strokes. He's 25 years old. He had his first one when he was 19. The doctors and neurologists who have dealt with him over the years have always been puzzled about what caused both of these strokes. He's gone through so many tests only for them to shrug and say they can't figure out what the cause is because he's fine, healthy, dandy.

His first stroke, he lost his peripheral vision.

His second stroke, he lost a lot of the feeling in the left side of his body.

The loss of feeling on his left side was so difficult. He had to get used to using his left hand for things without being able to feel what he was doing with it. I remember one time I accidentally shut his hand in a door and then freaked out because I had hurt his hand. I won't ever forget how sad he looked when he reminded me that it was fine, he couldn't feel it anyway. Other times, he would be in the kitchen trying to hold a glass with one hand and using the other to pour something from a pitcher into the glass. If he held the glass with the left hand, he might drop it and if he poured with the left hand, he had issues trying to get it in the glass. I remember so many times he ended up spilling water or something else all over the place because he couldn't feel what he was doing. It hurt so bad seeing him get angry at himself because he was having trouble doing things he'd formerly been able to do with no problem at all. He'd hug me and be sad because he could only feel me with his right arm and hand. His doctors told him the feeling might gradually return partially if he did exercises with stress balls and other things. So, he did. I never laughed at him any time he dropped something or spilled something. I never got impatient because he did some things slower because he had to focus harder without being able to really feel what he was doing. I was patient, I hugged him when he was upset or sad and I encouraged him to do the exercises and tried to be optimistic and encouraging that he would get some of the feeling back.

Something that pissed me off at first were some of his friends found it amusing that they could punch him in the left arm or thigh and he wouldn't feel it. This was a couple years ago so I get that they were just young and immature but that doesn't excuse being insensitive. I get the curiosity of doing it just to test it and see. He had me apply pressure or punch him tons of times to see if he could feel anything. I wasn't doing it for my own amusement, though. I didn't find it amusing that he couldn't feel anything. Even now, sometimes he'll do something and someone will make a comment about how slow he's doing it or how it would go faster if he would use both hands. I always feel defensive about it because he does the best he can and I hate when people pick on him for something he can't control. Especially when it's someone he knows and who knows about his problem.

On a quick plus side, he has regained some of the feeling. It likely won't ever be back to full strength again but he can feel a little bit which is better than nothing. The only downside to that is he gets these crazy sharp pains a lot of the time that last for hours. He rarely ever complains, though. He just deals with it and goes on. Sometimes, I wish I could ignore the comments he gets the way he does.

I always feel a need to defend people who have a disability when they're being picked on or laughed at. (Actually, it's not just people with disabilities I feel the need to stand up for but since that's what we're talking about here, I'll leave it at that.) I just don't understand what's funny about laughing at someone in a wheelchair or someone with autism or someone who's wearing an eye patch or someone who's only got one arm or.... the list could go on forever. Does it really make you feel better about yourself to look down on and laugh at someone else? I think most people who do that are possibly just miserable/unhappy on the inside. I know with some people, they're just insensitive assholes who deserve a good bitch slap.

It reminds me of when I lived in CA almost 2 years ago and was working a job where the deaf guy came up there and needed extra assistance ordering. How no one except for me and two other people liked dealing with him. All you had to do was write notes back and forth with him which took a couple extra minutes than dealing with a customer who could just tell you what they wanted. Yet so many of my co-workers didn't want to be "bothered" by him and treated him rudely. Acted as if he were a burden and made fun of him. I got so mad so many times over that and then I got sad when they guy stopped coming up there. I didn't blame him one bit but it made me sad for him and angry at all the assholes I worked with for being such pricks.

I never stare at people in wheelchairs. I don't point, laugh, make jokes about or any shitty thing like that. I don't stare at people hobbling along on crutches. I don't stare or point at people who look outwardly different. I don't see a person with one arm and go out of my way to avoid walking near them. I don't treat people with disabilities like they're different in some weird or wrong way. There's no reason to. None. At all. I learned that at a very young age and I learned that from being the person people treated differently, cruelly, rudely. I never said anything but I felt like something was wrong with me. I blamed myself for not being strong enough to walk, not being able to not be in a wheelchair. I was angry at everyone I caught looking at me the wrong way, pointing, laughing, etc. I was also angry at myself for not being able to do anything about it.

I know now that it was wrong to be mad at myself. I didn't know that then. At that age, it would have been impossible to understand the simple fact that some people are just fucking insensitive, judgmental assholes.

So, next time you feel a need to stare someone down and laugh at them for something; stop and think about why you feel a need to do that. And then, don't do it.

Happy Monday.

Why do you need to change the one you're with?

You can’t. They have to want to change things about themselves on their own. And if you’re dating that person, you shouldn’t have a list of things you want to change about them anyway.

My friend’s girlfriend has been driving me nuts all night with psycho neurotic texts about how she just doesn’t understand why he won’t change the way he does things. Why does he do x,y,z? Why can’t he tell me this, this and this? Why doesn’t he do a,b,c? Why, why, why. He should do this. He should act this way. And on and on and on with shit. I was at work and could ignore most of it except for my phone kept vibrating in my pocket because she just wouldn’t stop blowing my phone up.

You know why he does what he does?

You know why he doesn’t do those things he doesn’t do?

You know why he says certain things?

You know why he acts certain ways at certain times?

I HATE that people get into a relationship with someone and want to change every little thing about them that they don’t like.

I’ve bitched at my dude over some things that really bothered me as he has me. They were things we worked on and ultimately became better people. Sometimes, you can’t see that you need to change something until someone else points it out. I still do things that confuse him, piss him off, frustrate him and outright annoy him. He is the same way. You want to know why? We accept each other for how we are; obnoxious habits, weird quirks, flaws and all. Because you love a person for their good and their bad.

You don’t like how the relationship is? You don’t like so many things about the person you’re with? Things they won’t change because they’re uncompromisable? Guess what? There are PLENTY of people out there in the world. Go find one that is more compatible for what you want in a relationship and who you want in a partner. Don’t settle for someone because you think you’ll be able to change them into who you want them to be in time. Go find the person that is what you want. A significant other is NOT like a fucking Build-A-Bear. You don’t pick what you want and put it all together.

Melting lip balm...

The post title is relevant, I promise. Just takes a little while to get there, lol.

I got an email yesterday from a reader. It was essentially them telling me they love my blog but miss that I don't post as often and were curious why I'm not posting as much.

I work a lot of hours. It's only Wednesday and before I clock in this morning, I'm already at a little over 20 hours for the week. I still work today, tomorrow, Friday & Saturday as well. Then I have my usual Sunday off.

That doesn't leave me a lot of free time for running errands, grocery shopping, getting laundry done or other things that I do need to get done. Let alone free time to sit down in front of my laptop and write for my blog.

Not that I don't miss blogging. Writing is rather therapeutic for me. Even if I'm not purging my soul of something, even when it's just about hockey or boring rambling, it's still good for me. Writing soothes me, helps me de-stress. So I miss blogging for the writing and clearing of my head. I also miss getting comments and chatting with my readers, too. Assuming y'all haven't moved on, haha.

It is cool to have people email me and tell me they miss my blogging and hope I'm doing well, though. :)

Anyway, I'm typing this out on my phone. Just tossed my pants into the dryer a little while ago so I could have some clean to wear to work this morning. I heard a loud something or other banging around in there so I went to check it out. Apparently, I washed my pants from yesterday without remembering to take my Burt's lip balm out and it made it to the dryer where it decided to fall out there instead of in the washing machine. It's all melted and straight liquid right now but at least the cap didn't explode and get liquidy lip balm all over my freshly cleaned work clothes. That really would have sucked.

I'm opening today which means I'm leaving as soon as my clothes dry. And I'll be off around 3 hopefully. I'm going to the Stars game tonight with my mom, LS and YB! So excited for that. Love hockey games and love hanging with my family. :) Also should be meeting some new people at the game tonight at some point. Yay for meeting new Stars fans. And cool new people in general, lol. :D

Okay, my clothes should be done by now so time to put this down and get dressed so I can get to work. Lots to do this morning I'm sure.

Happy Wednesday!!!!
Go Stars!!!

Drunk blogging.. oh my!!!

It's 4:18 AM right now Sunday morning. Still counting it as Saturday night because I just got home and haven't gone to bed yet. I got off work Saturday night around 12:30 AM then went to a bar with my boyfriend and a guy friend. Bar is awesome and like 8 minutes away from my job. Boyfriend wasn't drinking so I got drunk. I'm drunk doing this now.

This will be my first drunk meme! I think? I'm not sure lol. Please forgive me for any thypos that spell check does not fix, the rum is doing it. xD Onward!!!

Oh man... I don't even know right now. Maybe in Europe somewhere? I seriously love Dallas, not gonna lie, love it here.

I didn't have any breakfast Saturday. Might not have it later today either. I know shame on me for skipping that most important meal of the day. Who decides these things anyway? Sheesh. That's difficutl when you wanna sleep but your stomach is like "GROWL GURGLE GURGLE RAWR FEED ME BITCH GROWL!!!"

A rock star. And a superhero. And an assassin that only went after evil people. I was a weird kid. I wanted to be some other stuff too. I wanted to do everything.

31. Been in a car accident?
A couple, one really major one when I was a little kid. Never one I've caused though.

32. Any pet peeves?
Who fucking doesn't have pet peeves? EVERYONE has something that annoys them and if they say oterwise, they're LYING. And one of my pet peeves is people lying, especially over stupid shit. And... I have a lot. I don't want to get into things that annoy me right now. Not losing my buzz for the sake of a meme question. xD

33. Favorite Pizza Toppings?
I LOVE PEPPERONI. :D We do pizza at my job, though. My favorite one to make has garlic, chicken and baby spinach leafs. Soo good.

Right now, a furniture store so the boyfriend and I could have some furniture. :D Normally, probably Best Buy. Actually, no where. I don't have a credit card and don't intend to change that shit any time soon. I'll buy stuff when I can afford to buy it and just not owe anyone anything, thanks.

40. Do anything spontaneous lately?
Yeah. :D It was fun too. Sadly I can't share the story here because I dunno if the other person involved would be okay with me blogging about it or not so I won't. Which isn't a cop out. It's called being respectful of those in my life who might not want their business all over the interwebz.

41. Like your job?
I love it actually. :)

42. Broccoli?
Looks like tiny trees.

43. What was your favorite vacation?
We never really took vacations when I was a kid and I've never really taken one with the boyfriend, so.

44. Last person you went out to dinner with?
I don't remember. I work 6 nights a week so I don't usually go out to dinner very often. Maybe my mom, little sister and youngest brother? Or a friend. I don't know.

45. What are you listening to right now?

46. What is your favorite color?
Black, red, purple, orange.

47. How many tattoos do you have?

48. How many times have you tagged someone to do a meme?
I don't know. Who keeps up with something like that? Like a fucking spread sheet for tagging people in memes? That's stupid.

49. What time did you finish this meme?
It's 4:37 AM right now.

50. Coffee Drinker?
YESS. I love tea too. I'm not sure whether I love tea or coffee more. Both are fucking DELICIOUS though. Not really sure why I mentioned tea. The question just asked about coffee. I feel that tea doesn't get enough credit though so I needed to bring it out of the shadow of coffee. Or something, lol.

Not gonna lie, most of those questions were not that interesting, lol. It was fun to do anyway though. Typing was a bit challenging.

I think my post for Monday will be me doing a collective post of my drunken tweets and drunken text messages that I sent to people. Might be amusing. *shrug* Sleep time!!

I'm setting this to post at a later time so by the time y'all see this it'll be morning time so GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!! lol HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this on Veronica's blog and had to share it here.

"As we approach the beginning of another year I want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails over the past year.

I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I no longer open a bathroom door without using a towel, or have the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can’t use the remote in a hotel room because I don’t know what the last person was doing while flipping through the adult movie channels.

I can’t sit down on the hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.....hmmmm

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one’s nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can’t touch any woman’s purse for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public bathroom.

I MUST ALSO SEND MY SPECIAL THANKS to whoever sent me the one about rat crap in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa’s Novena has granted my every wish.

I can’t have a drink in a bar because I’ll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can’t eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can’t use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

BECAUSE OF YOUR CONCERN, I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy gas without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer doesn’t crawl in my back seat when I’m filling up.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Fanta since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put ‘Under God’ on their cans.

I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.

THANKS TO YOU I can’t use anyone’s toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

AND THANKS TO YOUR GREAT ADVICE I can’t ever pick up a penny dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.

I no longer drive my car because buying gas from some companies supports Al Qaeda, and buying gas from all the others supports South American dictators.

I can’t do any gardening because I’m afraid I’ll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

If you don’t send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor’s ex-mother-in-law’s second husband’s cousin’s best friend’s beautician...

PS: I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet.

Lol. :D It made me chuckle so I figured I needed to share it with y'all, maybe make a few more people chuckle too. Some of those I've never heard before. Probably because I rarely open junk mail and when I do, I don't finish it once I realize that's what it is, lol.

Happy Tuesday!

Kurt Cobain themed....

I want to play last week's Wednesday Wickedness today. I didn't have internet all week last week so when I saw these questions on a couple blogs, I had to them even though it's almost a week later. I just reblogged a picture of Kurt Cobain on my Tumblr yesterday so found it slightly amusing when I saw last week's questions while looking around some blogs last night after work. I'm a big Nirvana/Cobain fan so I can't pass up doing these questions. :D

The way WW works is they quote someone and make up questions relating in some way to the quote they picked. Kurt Cobain was their pick for quotes last week. :D

Wednesday Wickedness 1/12/2011.

1. "A friend is nothing but a known enemy."
Have you ever had a “friend” that you discovered was really an enemy?
I have and I think most people have had that happen at least once in their lifetime sadly.

2. "Drugs are a waste of time. They destroy your memory and your self-respect and everything that goes along with with your self esteem."
What is the strongest drug (legal or otherwise) that you have taken?

3. "I had a really good childhood up until I was nine, then a classic case of divorce really affected me."
Has a divorce (yours or your parents) really impacted your life?
Nope. I've never been married and my parents aren't divorced. I have had a few close friends be impacted by it. One in particular I was indirectly impacted in a way through them just because I helped them get through it because my friend took it so badly and his parents were trying to make him pick sides and turn him against the other. It was a lot of ugliness.

4. "I really haven't had that exciting of a life. There are a lot of things I wish I would have done, instead of just sitting around and complaining about having a boring life. So I pretty much like to make it up. I'd rather tell a story about somebody else."
What's the most exciting thing that you've ever done?
A lot of things! I'm an adventurous and impulsive person so it has left me having a lot of adventures, lol. I think one of my top exciting moments was going cliff diving. It was one of the biggest thrills ever and was also so incredibly liberating.

5. "I was looking for something a lot heavier, yet melodic at the same time. Something different from heavy metal, a different attitude."
Is there a heavy metal band that you are a fan of, or were a fan of at that time?

6. "I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not."
Do people generally like you?
Some people do, some people don't. I don't let it bother me either way, honestly. A lot of people find my blunt honesty as rude so I know plenty of people dislike me for that and other reasons I'm sure. I like to focus on the people that do like me instead of giving any attention or thought to those who don't. ;)

7. "I'm too busy acting like I'm not Naive. I've seen it all, I was here first."
Are you naïve at all?

8. "I've always had a problem with the average macho man - they've always been a threat to me."
Does a certain type of person scare you?
No, not really. Not a lot scares me. Also, I don't think you can tell who's scary and will do you harm just by looking at someone.

9. "If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask someone else first."
Do you mind a friend who asks for favors?
Not at all, as long as they would be willing to help if I needed it and don't try to abuse my giving nature. Selfish, needy people bug me.

10. "The worst crime is faking it."
Do you ever “fake it” for approval?
No. Again, I don't care if people like me. And thankfully I've yet to work a job where I have to deal with a lot of bullshit or a really horrible boss.

Those were fun. Now, I will end this with a picture and one of my favorite Cobain quotes.

"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are."

Happy Tuesday!

Guess who has internet again?! :D Yep, this chick. Hooray. The Boyfriend got it up and running again last night before he went to work.

First, thanks to those who commented on my "Going to church makes you a good person" post and thanks to those who e-mailed me about it, too. I promise I'll reply back to the emails as soon as I can. Not having internet for a week put me behind in replying to e-mails. :) I did have one douchebag message me to rant at me about how I should be ashamed of myself for thinking that going to church was what made someone a good person, that I had fucked up views, obviously was closed-minded and a lot of other garbage. He clearly didn't read more than the title of the post before deciding to message me to rant at me like a moron otherwise he never would have sent that message in the first place. And if you're reading this now by chance... Next time, read the actual post before messaging me or anyone else for that matter to rant at them about something they posted. The post shows I don't think what the post title implies because I meant it ironically. Which doesn't transcend in that one line but if you read the actual post, you would have realized that.

It's a little after 4 AM right now but I wanted to go ahead and blog a little bit before I go pass the hell out. (Of course, I won't set this to post until 7 anyway but I plan on sleeping in several hours passed 7. :D) I had a super busy day off. I originally had plans with the family but my mom's not feeling well so that got postponed. Then I ended up staying home to be productive.

I did 6 loads of laundry. Working 6 nights a week and long shifts on those days doesn't leave me much time to get laundry done honestly. I also pulled off the sheets and mattress cushion pad thing and washed all of that and got all the towels done since we were totally out of clean towels.

I cleaned a lot. And sneezed a lot because I forgot to take some allergy medicine today.

I cooked myself an awesome dinner. Which was great. I don't ever have time to cook much anymore which is a bummer because I really enjoy cooking. In a way, I find it relaxing and at times even therapeutic. I cook maybe a couple times a month now. I usually just eat sandwiches, salads, or other things that are quick and easy; when I eat at home. I eat at work more often than not since I get free food and I'm there almost every night. Thankfully, we have soups, salads and healthier stuff so it's not like I'm loading up on greasy junk at work.

The rest of my night was spent between more cleaning, some organizing and... packing. As well as fucking around on Tumblr posting some pictures of ridiculously delicious looking food I found but that doesn't matter right now. Packing? Yes, packing. The Boyfriend and I will be moving to our own place again here soon enough. So, we've decided to start packing. A lot of stuff won't be coming with us but his mom will let us store stuff in her storage unit she has in their gigantic back yard. So, I've got started on packing up a lot of stuff. Some that will go into storage and some just things that can be packed away now. The Boyfriend packed up his huge collection of shot glasses for example; they won't be missed the couple more weeks they're sitting comfy in bubble wrap securely inside of a taped up box.

I forgot how tiring packing can be. I don't have a lot of stuff, honestly. I'm not bare bones or anything but I don't have a lot. I've moved a little over 20 times already in my life so I've learned to not keep a lot of junk and not buy things I don't really need. The Boyfriend on the other hand has moved only a couple times and has a TON of stuff. I've got 15 boxes of stuff packed up and don't feel like I've made much of a dent at all.

I also started a list of things we'll need to get for when we do move into our future apartment. I've been keeping my eye out for any deals on things we do need and picking up a few things here and there when I have the time and money to do so. We don't need that much stuff thankfully but the things we do need are things that aren't cheap. It'll be fine, though.

Anyway, enough about all of that. For now anyway. :)

The Stars play tonight! Against the Kings. I know a few of my Twitter buddies will have some things to say if my Stars lose but we're on a little bit of win streak right now so hopefully they keep up with that trend and kick ass tonight. Saturday night they won 6-1 against the Thrashers so it'd be great to follow that up with another awesome win. I won't be going to the game or watching very much of it since I'll be at work but hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it a little bit. Go Stars!

Okay, I'm exhausted. Time to go crawl into bed with my freshly cleaned sheets that will be so soft, warm and smell like whatever it is fabric softener smells like. I love that smell. I also love love love sleeping on sheets fresh from the dryer. Mmmm.

Happy Monday!

Going to church makes you a good person.

I went to Starbucks yesterday afternoon. Not because I was really dying for coffee but because I have a giftcard and they have wifi. We don't have internet at home. I had a couple hours to kill before work so I figured why not?

I was browsing and posting on Tumblr and these women probably around my age came and sat down near me. I posted some random stuff to Tumblr and mentioned I was amused over them talking about anal sex and dry humping so loudly. I can't do a link to that since I'm posting through email on my BlackBerry but it's on my Tumblr if you wanna see the random crap I post on there. I blogged a funny picture and a really badass Brooks Laich picture. Anyway, I'm getting off track here.

Okay, so the girls I mentioned earlier were talking about a lot of stuff and they were literally only two feet away from me so of course I heard what they were saying. At first I was kicking myself for not remembering headphones so I could listen to music. They were obnoxious and seemed to be rather judgmental and narrow minded. Here's something one of them said while talking about some friends of theirs....

"I mean, so Erin slept with a married guy and then slept with his brother that is also married but so what? I mean the married guy and his brother are her friend Christina's cousins and now Christina is acting like Erin is some kind of Godless whore just because she fucked Christina's cousins who both happened to be married. But I mean, Erin's father is a Minister for crying out loud so she's not some Godless, moral lacking bitch, you know?"

I don't see dragging the religious aspect into it because I don't think you need religion to be a good person and have sound morals honestly.  Being a minister doesn't mean he's necessarily a good person for one and even if he is, just because this girl is his daughter doesn't mean she's automatically a good person just for sharing his DNA. I know when it comes to cheating it takes two to tango and if the person is going to cheat, they're going to do it. You don't have to be the one to help them do it, though. It's not right. You're just as wrong and guilty as the person doing the cheating is in my opinion so saying it's only one person's wrong doing in that scenario is inaccurate. And that girl might not be a bad person but she did something fucked up. I just don't understand the logic in saying her father is a minister so she's obviously a good person.

I've known plenty of people who were preacher's kids or vice versa and they weren't good people. One kid used to steal from his father's church, stole money from his mother, robbed a few places and was just generally a thug and not a nice person at all. Having a person in your family who's very into religion or even connected directly to the church doesn't automatically make everyone in their life a good person by association. Just being there themselves doesn't even mean they're a good person. I dislike that people associate being religious with being a good person. That doesn't mean they're all evil because that's not true either. Like with anything else, there's good and there's bad. You can have morals and be an outstanding person and never have stepped foot into a church in my opinion.

Happy Wednesday!

No internet & No means No...

So for now, I have no internet at home. I'll either be blogging sporadically or doing a lot of blogging from my BlackBerry. The only thing that sucks about using my BB is there isn't a Blogger app for BB so I just have to type posts out and email them to my blog. Which isn't bad for a short post but I hate typing long stuff out using my phone and I can't do pictures or links either. Which is why an app would be most helpful. That's honestly why I use Tumblr so much. They have an app for BB that works well & more often than not, if I'm posting on Tumblr, I'm doing it from my phone. Kind of like Twitter, too. Probably 98% of my tweets come from UberTwitter which is a rad little Twitter app I have on my phone. I'm usually at work and rarely at home so these little apps can be oh so useful, lol. Now if I could just find a decent one that worked well and was timely for hockey updates, I could stop bugging my hockey buddies on Twitter for game time updates during Stars games, heh.

I'm at work right now but literally have nothing else to do. From 2-4 is always pretty slow so there's usually free time to get caught up with stuff. I got caught up this morning so now I'm just taking it easy for a little bit while I have nothing to do and no one bothering me for anything. The phone hasn't even been ringing too much! *knocks on wood* Seriously don't want to jinx that, haha. I'm working 11:30 am to close tonight so I've got plenty of time to get anything done that happens to come up anyway, lol.

Something that annoys me is men hitting on me while I'm at work. I don't mind when guys flirt a little bit sometimes but it depends on how it's done. A flirty comment or two won't bother me. Posting up at the front counter chatting me up while I'm trying to work or stopping me as I'm walking through the dining area and trying to talk to me up will annoy me. Especially once they keep flirting after I've established I'm not interested. Which I tend to do very quickly so there's no misconception going on. That doesn't just apply for the guys that flirt while I'm at work and then keep going once I've said no thanks, though. That applies for men any and everywhere. I'm not one to beat around the bush or try to nicely let someone down. A guy in here earlier was trying to get my number and ask me for drinks. I said, "thanks but I've got a boyfriend and I'm not interested." I still have to be polite because I'm at work and he's a customer but I'm blunt about not being interest. To which he replied, "well how long have y'all been together?" I said we had been together four and a half years and then told him to have a nice day and walked back to the back. He left his number on the front counter for me. Another guy a few nights ago kept asking for my number. Most of the time, I want to say "fuck off, I said I'm not interested." Since I'm at work, I'm sure if I did they would complain to my boss and he'd be on my ass for being unprofessional. So, I tend to come off as rude for being blunt and rather short with them if they keep trying after I've expressed my disinterest. I really don't care that it seems rude. To me, it's rude and disrespectful of them to keep asking after I've already said no and expressed that I'm in a relationship and not interested in them. I just don't understand what it is about some men that they think if they try hard enough, they'll get what they want. Or they think they're so charming or good looking or what the fuck ever that I'll just jump on their dick because they're showing interest. Pffft. Even when I was single, that kind of attitude turned me off completely.

No means no. Not interested means not interested. Back off means back the fuck off. It's all simple. It's not difficult to listen and respect the person saying this stuff to you.

That's my rant for the day. :)

Happy Tuesday!

Indecision? Not so much...

I posted this on Tumblr Saturday night after work. I'm posting it here now since not that many people pay attention to my Tumblr, lol.

"Oh man. This is a phone call I had at work earlier. First, someone else answers but she wants to speak with a “manager or person in charge for the evening.” So, employee gets me & I do my little phone greeting & here’s what follow:

Customer on the phone: “I want to do a pick up order for a calzone but I don’t want one of the ones listed on your menu. It says I can custom build my own but I’m not sure what I want in one. What is your favorite stuff to get inside one?”

Me: “I like garlic, chicken, spinach and mozzarella.”

Customer: “Oh no, I don’t like chicken. What’s a popular thing a lot of people get?”

Me: “Pepperoni, ham, olives, mushrooms, ricotta, mozzarella.”

Customer: “Oh that sounds good except I don’t like ham.”

Me: “We can leave the ham out and sub in another meat or just do pepperoni if you like.”

Customer: “That does sound good but no, I don’t want that one tonight. I’ll remember that for another time. You know, I think I just want the Hawaiian tropic calzone you have listed.”

(Note: it’s not called Hawaiian tropic. It’s just called The Hawaiian. D’oh.)

Me: “Okay, no problem. That does come with ham so you’ll want that without the ham, correct?”

(Note: that’s obvious but I have to be polite & say crap like that anyway. All the ingredients are listed on the menus for our entrees so she obviously saw it comes with ham. Which she already said she doesn’t eat.)

Customer: “Oh I see, no okay no on the Hawaiian. Shoot. What would you recommend for me? No ham and no chicken so…”

Me *trying not to throw the phone at the wall*: “Why don’t you tell me what kind of meats and veggies you get on your favorite pizza and we’ll take those and make a calzone out of it…”

Customer: “Oh well let’s see it does depend on what I feel like eating. I like a good veggie pizza but I like a meat lovers and oh I love a good bbq chicken or broccoli spinach pizza…..” And I’ll spare you the rest of it because she went on for two minutes debating what sounded good. Then, “….Okay so now that I told you all of that, what do you think would be a good thing to do with a calzone for me?”

So, two more minutes of us going back and forth on her options she now had available to her. Then finally she was settled on what she wanted to get. So I wrote the order down & started to tell her how long it would take when she cut me off & said she changed her mind. She spent another minute waffling on whether to go with a veggie calzone or to do a meat lovers type one instead. She settled on veggies only & I hung up the phone after finishing up. I was about to go turn the order over but the phone rang so I stopped & picked it up.

Guess who? Yep. She wanted to change her mind again.

She decided she just wanted garlic cheese bread with spicy marinara and a chicken ceasar salad instead.

Chicken? I asked if she wanted to replace the chicken with a different meat since she said she didn’t like chicken earlier. She said she likes chicken in salad but nothing else.

So then she asked me about our soups for the day. Which I told her. She asked me what was in each one. I told her. She wanted a cup of tomato basil soup to go with her order. I gave her the new total and time and off the phone I went. I waited two minutes to see if she would call & change her mind again but the didn’t call back.

Her indecision made my head want to explode. Aye aye aye.

Then when she came to pick her order up, she debated on changing it but decided since we had it done already that she would just stick with it. Except, she didn’t want the soup after all because she didn’t think the one she chose (tomato basil) would go well with the salad and bread.

Thankfully, she was the only difficult customer we had all night, lol."

I'm not an indecisive person. I have moments of indecision but they're few and far between. My boyfriend on the other hand, incredibly indecisive. It's one of the few things about him that drives me fucking crazy. I just don't understand the inability to make a decision, especially over something simple. I like a LOT of different things. I have a wide variety of interests. I always have multiple options when it comes to making decisions for things when it comes to shopping, eating, what to do with free time, what kind of tea I want to drink, etc because I like such a wide variety of things. I'm decisive, though. It might take me a moment to contemplate something but not often. That's probably due to the fact that I'm rather impulsive so I just go with the first thing I think more often than not. I'm rarely ever afraid of making the wrong decision, though.

I'm not trying to pick on those, like my boyfriend, that are more indecisive than most people. I just don't understand it really. So for someone who has no issue with making decisions most of the time, it's frustrating to deal with someone who takes almost 30 minutes to figure out what they should be eating. I imagine for someone who is indecisive, making simple decisions is probably stressful to them because they have such a hard time deciding. Again, I just don't understand why it's difficult. I get some things require more thought than others but.... *shrug* Anyone that can shed some light on it, feel free. ;)

Happy Monday!

Cigarettes, Inception, Cashiers, etc.

The Boyfriend is finally quitting smoking! I quit over a year ago. He's been "cutting back" and "going to quit" for some time now. He did slowly but surely cut back until he was only smoking a couple times a day. It wasn't a resolution to finally quit, either. Yesterday was his smoke cigarette free day. He seems ready and determined to quit this time. So, I hope he sticks with it. I'll enjoy getting to kiss someone without the cigarette/ashtray flavor to go along with it. :D

I watched Inception last night after work. It was the first time I had seen it. I missed it in theaters. The Boyfriend rented it from Red Box. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I need to watch it again when I'm not dead tired from spending 10 hours at work on just a few hours of sleep I think. I understood it and visually, it was wonderful. I just felt indifferently about it because I was so tired while I was watching it. So, I'll watch it again and report back. It might rock my socks off or it might be yet another movie that people rave about that I just don't enjoy. We'll see. :D

I hate when you're shopping and the cashier checking you out feels a need to comment on your purchases. I had to stop by a store last night after work to get some items. The girl looked over my purchases, raised her eyebrows and said, "Looks like you've got a fun night planned for yourself" with a snide look on her face. What did I have? New insoles for my work shoes so hopefully my feet will hurt less, two new pillows (one for the guy and one for me :D), aspirin, mouthwash, oatmeal, Special K Oats & Honey cereal, granola, Gatorade, condoms and scotch tape. Really, all of that says "fun night" to you? I suppose she meant the condoms and maybe the scotch tape if she's any kind of kinky but seriously? I hate when a cashier or other store employee makes a comment like that when I'm buying stuff. When I'm at work, I don't say "Ha, looks like you plan on having horrible breath wanting extra garlic and onions in your calzone" or "Eww, you really want that drink? Gross!" None of my business and not my place to give them a hard time about anything. Sometimes, the comments don't bother me. I suppose it's what you say along with how it's said, too. Sometimes, something perfectly harmless said in a certain tone with a certain look on some one's face can go from nothing at all to something rude and/or insulting. Not that she said anything particularly horrid, it's just the way she said it and the way she was acting. My response to her was asking, "What do you mean?" to which she replied by snickering and rolling her eyes. I don't remember what I said after that but I'm sure it was sarcastic. I was more working on controlling the urge to smack her upside the head.

If you follow my Tumblr blog, you might have noticed the mass amount of food pictures I reblogged last night. Sorry about that. I was looking for something specific to post and the ran across picture after picture of sinfully delicious looking goodness. If you don't follow it, go look but don't blame me if you end up hungry for something sweet. Really, those ice cream sandwiches looked fucking awesome. I like pictures of pretty food I think because it's like art with food in a way. It's like when I bake, I don't usually even eat most of the stuff I make. I find cooking and baking to be awesome stress relief. Albeit, working 6 nights a week, I rarely get to cook anymore but I digress. My favorite part of baking is honestly the decorating part. I've been into art since I was a little kid. I love drawing and painting and decorating pretty desserts is just another way for me to be creative and create something lovely. I just need more people around to eat the pretty stuff I make since I don't favor sweets much and The Boyfriend can only eat so much, lol. I think it would be pretty awesome to own a little cafe type thing that sold coffees, teas, juices and tons of really pretty sweets.

The Stars play the Blackhawks tonight. I'll be at work but hopefully I'll be able to have the game on. If not, I can follow along with the help of my awesome hockey buddies on Twitter. :D Speaking of, this article is awesome. Go read it. That's just one of the reasons why the Stars are awesome.

Happy Wednesday!

I don't always believe that all the facts from The Amazing Fact Generator are 100% accurate but I get amused spending time reading them anyway. :)

I know several humans that would find this deeply amusing and not at all repulsive, lol.

This just gives people an opening to make all kinds of parasite, leech, bloodsuckers, etc jokes about politicians. As if people really need more openings for that, ha.

I love random facts and virtually useless information. I've used pointless, random facts to kick up the conversation at times when I was in a group of people and no one knew what to say or had anything to say. They can also work to kill some tension if things are getting heated it the non-fun way, lol. At others times, I've been known to awkwardly blurt them out randomly when one pops into my mind. Sometimes that impulsiveness proves to be inappropriate depending on the situation, the company and the fact, heh.

Happy Tuesday!

My NYE: Drinking, dancing, kissing girls, etc...

I had planned to do a post today talking about my New Year's Eve. Just because I don't get to go out very often since I work weekends so I tend to lack having fun stuff to post on here lately, lol. Then last night got kind of crazy so I was contemplating not posting about it. Then I thought about it for a minute and was thinking, "fuck it, why not? I've posted worse on here anyway." ;) So, here we go.

So the night started with the Stars/Canucks game. I found some tickets last minute for cheap and we ended up going. Sitting up in the top sections but honestly, it's not so bad sitting up there for games. It's still a decent view and I was just happy to be there. The boyfriend, my and then our friend's Jameson and his girlfriend Blade. Jameson and Blade got tickets to the game months ago and were already going. We just made plans for them to ride with us and then all of us go party after the game. The game wasn't so great, we lost 4-1. Their backup goaltender was fucking killer. We outshot Vancouver 45 to 22. They weren't getting anything passed him. Dude keeps playing like that and he probably won't have any trouble landing as a #1 goalie somewhere. The Stars also didn't play that well. The penalty kill was atrocious and most of Vancouver's goals came from PP opportunities they had. Anyway...

After the game, we went to one of The Boyfriend's favorite bars. They had party hats, noise makers and all sorts of other party favors randomly laid out on the tables, bar top and pretty much everywhere. Giving drunk people noise makers is a great idea by the way. ;) The Boyfriend was our designated driver and drank water all night. The rest of us sat down, ordered drinks and got started. About 5 minutes after I got my first drink, we saw a girl go by with a tray with flashing LED lights on it. She had Jell-O shots and some other kind of bright colored shots. Blade and I hopped up and went to track her down. The other shots were different shots and game with a glow bracelet. Anyone who knows me knows I have a slight problem with glow stuff so I had to get a shot of stuff for the glow bracelet. Which at 5 dollars for a shot and a glow bracelet wasn't bad. The shot was... well, she told me.. I have since forgot. Meaning I forgot after she told me pretty much, lol. It was good and strong so woohoo. I also got some Jell-O shots. Blade got a shot with a glow bracelet and a few Jell-O shots for her and Jameson. Back to the table. Shots consumed. Laughter ensued. More drinks ordered. We were talking, people watching and having a good time. More drinking. Chased down the Jell-O shot tray girl again for a couple more Jell-O shots. Then it was almost midnight. They started passing out glasses of champagne for the countdown to midnight. Our waitress knew The Boyfriend wasn't drinking but left him one anyway. Blade wanted to know how awful the champagne was. I took a sip to let her know. It wasn't the worst I've had honestly. Then we both might have drank our champagne early. Our waitress might have also been really cool and brought us more without us even asking. ;) Midnight hit, champagne was consumed, making out ensued. A random girl came over and kissed Blade. She said she wanted to start 2011 off by kissing a stranger. Then she put her noise maker against the noise maker I had in my mouth and started blowing hers as I was blowing mine. Then she laughed and said we had noise maker sex. I told her she was off to a slutty start and she cracked up like that was the funniest thing she had heard all day. Ah, drunk people. Blade and I decided we wanted to go to the other side of the bar. (It's huge and has 2 sides with a bar on each. One side has a ton of tables, a stage for a band and a dance floor as well as the bar area and a couple booths along the wall that lead outside to the patio. There's also pool tables, dart boards and an air hockey table. The other side is more chill will a lot of booths, a few tables, lots of comfy leather chairs, dimmer lighting, more laid back music and lots of TVs playing sports and news.) We were on the more laid back side and were ready to head over to the other side and have some more fun. The Boyfriend and Jameson can't dance and don't like to dance. Blade and I left them over there. Blade hit the floor while I went after drinks. I came back to her to find some guy talking to her, trying to get her to dance. I put my arm around her and Blade told him I was her date for the night, so sorry she wasn't dancing with him. He looked at me and grinned and said, "Oh yeah, that's fine, I'll dance with both of you." Got a big grin on his face. I told him no thanks and to back off and lead her away from him. He moved off back to stand with his friends and we started dancing. A couple minutes later, some guy comes up behind me and starts dancing. I turn sideways and tell him to back off. He keeps dancing so I push him away from me. He moves back and yes, keeps dancing. So I elbow him in the stomach to back him up off me and tell him to back off and move away. He doesn't look happy about it but he does move away for the time being. A couple minutes later after the song ends, he comes up to Blade and asks her if I'm her friend and what's my deal. Blade told him we were together and he apologized and moved on. More dancing. Then another guy came up to me and asked if he could move in because he wanted to dance with me. I told him no, he whined. I told him to go away. He sulked off. We decided to go grab The Boyfriend and Jameson. After informing them of what we knew would likely happen if we went over there by ourselves, they decided they would come over to that side. We cashed out with our waitress then headed back over there. I thought the boys were just going to stand there but they actually danced with us. I have been with The Boyfriend for 4 and 1/2 years now. That was the first time he's ever danced with me because he always says no when I suggest dancing. I danced with him. I also danced more with Blade and some other random girls while the guys were there and we didn't get bothered my anyone else. Except one guy that came up and wanted to cut in with me when I was dancing with Blade but when he noticed the two guys after a second later, he held up his hands like he was saying sorry and went off to try his luck with another couple girls. We drank a little more as we danced. We went back to the other side to sit and cool down for a little bit. Blade was smashed and was staring at my chest. I was wearing a shirt with a low neckline (had been my undershirt but the Stars shirt had come off before we went into the bar so I was wearing a long sleeved v-neck shirt in there.) She smacked her hand on the table randomly and said, "Gosh your boobs are fucking huge. And nice. I can't... you know, I can't stop looking. I keep seeing other people looking and I'm like damn I don't blame them. I just want to grab them." So I told her something, don't remember what, but it was essentially saying it was fine. So she did. (A little backstory really quick, totally not the first time she's done that. Something similar happened during my birthday celebration in June last year and then during Jameson's birthday party in August as well. Also, for those who don't know... I'm bisexual and have been with girls before as well as had an actual girlfriend before years ago. Same for Blade. Anyway...) Then we decided to go back to the other side and dance more. We danced until 1:55 when the band stopped playing. It was so much fun. Aside from the few random guys but meh, that happens when you go out. You just have to be firm with them and if that doesn't work, there are cops and security around. Go find one if a persistent guy just will not leave you alone; that's what they're there for. Among other things.

And here's where it gets a little crazy and a little sexy. So if you don't want to read such things, even though I don't plan on going into a lot of details, skip the next few paragraphs, lol. Jameson, Blade and myself were all really drunk. Thankfully, even though we're loud and goofy drunks, The Boyfriend is amused by us when we're all smashed. I don't even remember what we were talking about for the most part. A lot of random stuff more than likely, lol. I do remember at one point Blade felt it necessary to apologize to my boyfriend for staring at my boobs all night. He just laughed and made a joke about that not being any different from most nights we hang out together. Which is true. She was sitting behind me in the backseat and ended up reaching up and around to put her hands on my chest. She was feeling me up and some how ended up leaning around up front. We were laughing about something and she said my lips smelled like raspberries. My lip balm has raspberry extracts in it. She asked if it tasted like raspberries, I kissed her. Then we were laughing... and then making out in the car. My boyfriend is fine with me having fun with other girls if the opportunity is available. Our rule is that I can't do it without talking it over with him first. Obviously, I kind of broke the rule because we didn't talk this over before we started making out and groping each other. I did stop a few minutes in to it and ask him if he was okay with it. He said, from his vantage point next to us in the drivers seat lol, if he wasn't okay with it he would have said something already. I asked if he was sure, he looked me in the eyes and said fine. I knew he was fine with it, we went back to making out. We stopped and asked Jameson a minute later if he was fine with it. He said he was. Apparently, they have the same kind of boundaries that The Boyfriend and I have, they just haven't actually had to worry about it yet. As we were closer to Blade's house, she somehow ended up in my lap and had her mouth going to work on my breasts as I was kissing and biting her neck. Then we turned down her street and her mom was outside of their house with her boyfriend, I guess waiting for them to get home or something. So, Blade and I kissed goodnight and then she hopped out of the car to go see what her mom and her mom's boyfriend were doing sitting out there. Jameson hopped out a minute later after saying goodnight and making a couple jokes.

The Boyfriend and I ended up going to get some food because I was starving and I was still pretty wound up. I get kind of hyper when I'm drunk. I asked again if he was okay with what happened and he assured me he was. Like he assured me it was fine the couple times we've flirted and made contact over the last few months. I know he says he's okay with it but I always like to check and make sure anyway. If he's ever not okay with it, I know he'll tell me.

We hung out while I ate and chatted about things. Jobs and stuff we're looking forward to. He also had a good time dancing and said he won't make me wait another 4 and 1/2 years to go again. So woohoo!

Then we went home. I think we were going to pass out by watching a movie but ended up making out instead. Then there was awesome sex. I remember he was trying to talk to me more afterward but I was so relaxed and drunk that I just passed right out as he was talking. Hopefully he wasn't anything important. :)

So, there was my New Years Eve. I'm sure I left some things out but for the most part, that covers it. :D Definitely not what I had planned on but I usually don't mind when things don't go according to plan anyway. It was a really damn fun night and I'm so happy that I convinced my boss to let me have the night off. It was the most fun I've had in months.

I hope that whatever way you chose to ring in the new year was fun, too. :)

Happy Saturday!! :)
