Yesterday, I was watching the Pittsburgh Penguins VS Philadelphia Flyers game on NBC. I'm not a huge fan of either team, because y'all know I'm a Stars fan, but the game was on and I semi-like the Penguins. They have some pretty awesome players that I've come to admire thanks to my younger sister, who is a Penguins fan. Anyway, after the game I had to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. On my way home from the store, I was waiting on traffic to pass so I could turn onto the street that leads to my street. I noticed at the stop sign that there were 9 burly big guys in biker gear waiting to turn. I'm talking leather pants, vests, jackets, boots, big bushy beards, long sideburns, the whole stereotypical image of what a biker gang should look like. One guy even had a large spike on top of his helmet. Totally wouldn't want to fuck with this group of dudes. I looked them over and thought to myself, "Oh biker gang, cool. It's a pretty day out despite being chilly so they must be out enjoying a ride." Then, I moved from them to check out what kind of bikes they were on. It was at that moment that I realized they were all on mopeds. Yes, mopeds. Not a single motorcycle in sight and you know, I couldn't help but laugh. Even though they were all on cute little back mopeds, I still wouldn't want to get into any shit with those guys. My guess is that they are the manliest moped gang known to man.

P.S. I made a friendly hockey wager with the lovely couple over at SeXXXcapades. I lost. Bummer. I actually expected to win. Oh well though. Read about it, here.
P.P.S. There is a picture involved.

Drink of the Day: Shuddering Orgasm

I'm starting something new. It's small, simple and I can do several months worth of posts in ab hour and not have to mess with it on a weekly basis. Awesome, right? So, what is my new thing?

Every Friday or Saturday, I will post a drink of the day of the adult alcohol filled variety. The lovely and wonderful, @PrettyPrincessG ,inspired this because she was on Twitter asking what to do with Kahlua when you don't have milk and don't want to use coffee. I thought for a minute and offered up the solution of Coca-Cola, Vodka and Kahlua. Then I thought about it for a second and the idea to do Drink of the Day was born.

So, in honor of what started this, here's another something something you can do with Kahlua.

Drink of the Day #1
Shuddering Orgasm

1 oz Kahlua
1 oz Amaretto
1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
1 scoop crushed ice

Fill shaker with ice, add liquor, give several good shakes to mix it all together well. Then just strain and serve!

If you don't have the right tools for doing this and want to make it at home, a jar with a lid can work just fine as a shaker. Or you can use two plastic cups and make a makeshift shaker. You can hold a butter knife against the lip of the jar when you're pouring it to keep the ice out too or if you have a small strainer you might use for cooking, use that.
Get creative. ;)

Quotes; change & growth.

You don't really wanna mess with me tonight...

Some of my friends used to send me text messages earlier in the morning knowing that I went to bed late. Last year, I had some friends who would text me at 5 AM, 6 AM and other early morning times because they were bored at work and wanted to chit chat. Never mind that I had only gotten off work at 2 AM, gotten home by 3 AM, showered, relaxed and passed out sometime between 4 AM and 5 AM. I had plenty of friends that would text me ridiculously early. It almost always woke me up and annoyed the fuck out of me. Or if it didn't wake me up, my phone went off and annoyed other people in the house.

I know what you're thinking. The simple solution would be to turn my cell off or at least put it on silent, right? I couldn't because my cell phone is the only phone people can get a hold of me on. When I lived in California, we didn't have a house phone. I just had my cell phone. So if my boyfriend/family or friends in Texas had to get a hold of me for an emergency or something important that required me to wake up (which did happen) I never would have waken up because it wouldn't make a sound on silent. Living in Texas, I do have a house phone but we don't get long distance so my family only has my cell to get a hold of me on. My family that lives in Texas also only has my cell number. Given it's not my house and not my phone, I don't give out the number for people to call me on. So, the only way to reach me is my cell phone and I cannot turn it off because of that. I'd feel like shit if something happened and no one could reach me until hours later because I was asleep and my phone was off.

So, I dealt with the annoyance of certain friends texting me far too early in the morning. I reminded my friends and hoped they would remember not to text or call that early because our schedules clashed, blah blah blah. I asked, I reminded, I was polite about it. For months. When it still kept happening, I devised a plan.

Knowing that they went to bed early, since they had to get up early for work or school, I would wait until midnight or later depending on the person and start texting or calling them. I'd wake them up in the middle of their slumber and annoy them, just as they had been doing to me. I would always say something like, "Oh I was bored at work/bored after work but oh, that's right, I'm waking you up because you get up early and don't stay up this late." Or, "I figure if you can call and wake me up, you wouldn't mind if I did the same." Oops. Maybe next time you're bored in class/at work at 5 AM, you'll remember to text someone who didn't just go to sleep an hour or so ago.

A few times of me texting/calling these friends late at night, disturbing their slumber and annoying them pretty much cured me of my problem. Some it took a few more times than others but within a month of my delicate little hints, they finally got the picture and stopped bugging me so early in the morning.

Last summer is when I decided to finally get back at them and do what was being done to me. Now, absolutely no one texts or calls me early as hell in the morning just because they're bored and want someone to chit chat with. Victory is mine. =)

Love this song. =) I'm not into the majority of pop music or the majority of the crap that comes on the radio. I LOVE P!nk though. I can relate to so many of her songs and she doesn't annoy the living hell out of me like most pop singers do. This song cracks me up because it reminds me of so many nights out in clubs and bars back when I was still single. Though usually I was out with guy friends since I never have had many girl friends but I digress. My point is, I love this song. And P!nk too. Yum.

Happy Thursday!

Survey time...

Saturday Sunday Survey
Brought to you by: Amorous Rocker

What's something you just don't understand?
Drama and people's need for it.

What was the last store you went to?
Damn... Kroger (grocery store) probably.

What color is your cell phone?
Light blue. Bleh.

Who is your 7th text message from?

Are you dating them?

How long have you known them?
6 1/2 years.

Have you ever used an asthma inhaler?
I've used an inhaler but it wasn't for asthma.

Does the last person you kissed have any tattoos?
Yes. =)

If you could have one chore taken care of forever, what would it be?

How often do you have sex?
Not often enough.

Do you have trust problems?

Do you know anyone who has gotten an abortion?

Have you ever kissed or had sex with the last person you texted?
Kissed, yes. Sex, never.

What's your relationship between you and the last person you had deep conversation with?
He's one of my closest friends.

When you walk passed a mirror do you stop and look at yourself?
Not usually.

Is there anybody who truly disgusts you?
Oh yeah.

You receive $50 without any reason, what do you spend it on?
As much as I'd like to blow it, I'd probably save it for help on a bill or for some groceries or something like that.

Is there anyone in your family that just annoys the living shit out of you?
Sure. Everyone has a relative or two like that. You can't get along with everyone, even if they are family.

Do you get drunk every weekend?
Contrary to popular belief, no, not at all.

If you woke up naked next to the last person that texted you what would your reaction be?
Oy. I'd be wondering how I go to the state they're in, what the fuck I was doing there, where my clothes went, wondering if I need to slap a bitch or not, etc random crazy thoughts of confusion and minor violence.

What do you think of when you hear the word "meow"?
"Kitten!" or I'd think of Foghat since he loves cats and sings the "meowmix" song on a regular basis, lol.

Have you ever slept on a couch with someone else?
Yeah, not in a long time though. With one of my exes, we used to sleep on the couch all the time because it was way more comfy than his futon even though there was less room.

Have you ever seen someone sleepwalk?
Actually, yes. YB does it and it always tripped me out when I saw him doing it.

If you were upset, who is the first female friend you'd go to?
Meh, I don't go to any girl friends when I'm upset. I don't have that many girl friends in the first place and I'm also not close enough with the ones I have to go to them for stuff like that. I don't go to a lot of people when I'm upset. There's a select few that I trust and feel comfortable enough with to let them see me that vulnerable.

Do you have someone who you can be your complete self around?
Of course. The only people I tone myself down around is family honestly.

Do you feel like anyone is playing mind games with you right now?

Who would be a better president; Tommy Lee or Kid Rock?
Fuck, neither. I'd go with Alvin & the motherfucking Chipmunks over either of them.

Who would be a better president; Lindsay Lohan or Courtney Love?
Fuck Courtney Love, not literally either, blech. Meh. Alvin & the motherfucking Chipmunks again me thinks.

Who would you rather have sex with; Tommy Lee or Kid Rock?
Celibacy for the win!

What would you do if flowers had to poop?
A shitting flower? Lol. Weird question. If it's a potted plant, just consider it fertilizer and keep the plant outside I guess. I dunno. I don't like flowers anyway.

Have you ever been negatively criticized about your sexual performance?

Do you believe in the Easter Bunny?
No. Apparently, one of my friends caught the Easter Bunny, spiced it up and roasted the poor rabbit. He's long since been devoured and digested. He's grass somewhere now possibly.

Do you have any typically assumed to be disgusting habits?
I'm sure someone would find one/some of my habits to be disgusting but whatever. =)

How is/are your New Years resolution[s] going?
I don't make them. Ever.

Do you enjoy busy mall shopping?
No. I hate shopping even when it's not busy.

Do you live near the ocean?
Not anymore. It was nice all the times I did live near the ocean though. Mmm, beaches.

How often do you shop online?

Have you ever had mononucleosis? Was it as bad as it sounds?
Nope, never had mono. *knocks on wood*

Would you ever date someone of a different ethnicity than you?
I have before.

Would you ever have sex with someone of a different ethnicity than you?

I have before.

When did you last buy new shoes? How many pairs do you own?
I got new shoes for Christmas. I have three pairs of shoes.

Happy Sunday.

Messages Of The Day & Rambling

To see the sources these pictures were lifted off of, just click the pictures. While these images are all very much Safe For Work, what you'll find on the Tumblr's they're lifted from is NOT very Safe For Work, lol.

Some random rambling now...

Boyfriend & I are going to the Stars/Islanders game tonight. We better fucking win. We lost our last two games. We haven't lost three games in a row so far this season. Hopefully we stick with that and win tonight. Go Stars!

I think I'm getting sick. Which sucks. It's this stupid "arctic" weather going on right now. It's 13 outside right now according to stupid weatherbug with a windchill of 2 degrees. Yeah, yeah... I know, you people up North have colder weather. You live up North though so it's expected. You also have clothes and what not to deal with this because you're used to it. I live in Texas however and don't have the clothes to handle this. I don't even have a winter coat because shit, I don't normally need one. I'm not dying or anything but it sucks.

I know it doesn't seem like I do but I only want what's best for you. I wish you would realize how toxic you're being. I love you. Not the way you want me to but the way you need me to. It hurts you because you think I'm being mean, spiteful, harsh, cruel. It hurts me because you can't see that what you're doing is so harmful to you. One day, I think you'll understand that and be okay. You're one of my best friends and we have gone through so much but I can't help you and I can't watch you destroy yourself anymore. I know you're mad at me now but one day, I know you'll understand and forgive me. When you do, I'll still be there for you. If you're still alive for me to be there for.

I need a new cell phone. Thankfully, mine is still working decently enough because I sure as hell can't afford a new one, lol. It's just a minor annoyance right now. Hoping that it keeps on working well enough until I can afford a new one.

It's amazing how people surprise you sometimes. Which isn't always a good thing. Sometimes, it's rather disappointing. Especially when it comes to people you care deeply for.

I'm going to try to start blogging more. I haven't the last few months. I don't have as much time. I'm also keeping all my thoughts and feelings locked away. Recently, a person I used to be really good friends with got back in touch with me and we've been talking pretty regularly again. It's nice and I remember why we used to be such good friends. Part of the reason is that he's easy to talk to and can carry a conversation well. I don't ever get a two or three word response out of him because he always has something to say t whatever I said and he makes me think about things in unique ways. It's nice having him to talk to again and oddly enough, I think it will help with me blogging more regularly again because I'm letting things out and that's helping me not be so full of emotions and not be in such a weird head space.

I love music so much. Nothing is better when I need a change in my mood.

Happy Friday.

You want some cheap sex toys or gift cards people?!

I love helping people. I do it as often as I can, in any way I can. So when one of my blog/twitter buddies, @naughtyeliot, tweeted that she was going to put some sex toys and gift cards up for sale on her website at discounted rates, I immediately offered to help pimp her sale out. Her and her family go through a lot of ups and downs and they're having a damn difficult time right now. She's parting with some really awesome stuff too so run over there and check out what she's got up for grabs. There's $100 gift card she's doing for $75 and a motherfucking PURE WAND for $80. If I had the $80 to spare, I'd so buy the Pure Wand myself, sadly I can't do that. She has glass up for sale as well as a few other gift cards not to mention books. And if you don't want to buy anything she's offering but want to give them some help, use the donation button and drop a few bucks her way.

She is one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring people I've come to know on the interwebz. She is always offering to let me vent and she can always make me chuckle when I need to. She's a total sweetheart. And she's been wonderful in privately checking up on me to see how I'm doing and asking about the ordeal going on with my grandfather right now. She's a truly wonderful woman and I adore the hell out of her.

Alright, what are you still doing here? GO check out her discounted toys and gift card sale! Scoot!

Here's an update...

My grandfather has been in the hospital. If you've read my blog long enough, you'll know that I don't blog about my family and familial goings on very often. I try to leave stuff about them off of my blog. Once in a while, I do blog about family stuff. If you've read my blog for long enough or know me well enough, you know that I'm close with my grandparents. In that, I'm lucky that I've gotten the time to spend with them. To know them and to have them in my life. I know that and don't need to hear it because frankly, it's not comforting when one of them is very near death. I appreciate the person saying it might be trying to help in some way or might be trying to say something less generic to let me know that in time things will be fine. I get it and while I appreciate the thought and possible sentiment behind it, I already know those things and again I appreciate it but it seems a bit like a slap in the face to have my sadness countered with, "Well, at least you had them be a part of your life so chin up and be happy about that." While I am lucky and happy about them and the time I've had with them, seriously, it doesn't really help to hear something like that. Anyway... Grandpa's heart failed him a few days ago. He had to be rushed to the hospital. Grandma had to sign off on an emergency surgery for him. Three hours of surgery and then he was put in to ICU. He had to be in ICU for 24-36 hours before they would move him to an isolation room where he would be checked on every hour. My grandmother and aunts have been staying with him at the hospital during the day and then one of my aunts spends the night with him while my grandmother goes home to eat, get her bath and hopefully get some sleep. Then she's back bright and early and spend about 12 or more hours sitting in the hospital with my grandpa. In all honesty, it's looking rather bleak and I don't expect he'll be with us much longer. Though, I would love it if he did make progress and turn around and live another few years. My grandfather is tough. He's battled cancer and other illnesses for over 10 years now and we've heard several times before after visits in the hospital that he wouldn't make it home. Only, he always has bounced back and kept on keeping on. Except... He's now 87 years old and this time, I don't think he's going to bounce back. He's not able to do anything for himself currently and... I don't really want to post details right now. Not because I don't have them but because it's just too hard for me to put the words down right now. I know how I would explain everything but I just can't right now. I spent 5 and 1/2 hours sitting at the hospital yesterday with my grandma and grandpa. Boyfriend was there too and so was one of my aunts for a while. My other aunt left when we got there. It was so touching and heartbreaking watching my grandma care for him.

That's where my head has been lately and I'm just upset and worried, like everyone else in my family is. Every time my phone goes off, I get anxious and start worrying before I ever say hello and it's not good news. So bleh.
I don't have much else to say. I'm not religious but if you want to pray for my family, go for it. A lot of my family is Christian and keep saying their prayers. A lot of my friends are doing the same. Happy thoughts, positive energy, good juju, whatever you want to call it; that's all good too. I appreciate everyone who has offered their thoughts and e-hugs already. *smile*

Hope y'all have a good day.
Happy Monday.
