Drink of the Day: Shuddering Orgasm

I'm starting something new. It's small, simple and I can do several months worth of posts in ab hour and not have to mess with it on a weekly basis. Awesome, right? So, what is my new thing?

Every Friday or Saturday, I will post a drink of the day of the adult alcohol filled variety. The lovely and wonderful, @PrettyPrincessG ,inspired this because she was on Twitter asking what to do with Kahlua when you don't have milk and don't want to use coffee. I thought for a minute and offered up the solution of Coca-Cola, Vodka and Kahlua. Then I thought about it for a second and the idea to do Drink of the Day was born.

So, in honor of what started this, here's another something something you can do with Kahlua.

Drink of the Day #1
Shuddering Orgasm

1 oz Kahlua
1 oz Amaretto
1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
1 scoop crushed ice

Fill shaker with ice, add liquor, give several good shakes to mix it all together well. Then just strain and serve!

If you don't have the right tools for doing this and want to make it at home, a jar with a lid can work just fine as a shaker. Or you can use two plastic cups and make a makeshift shaker. You can hold a butter knife against the lip of the jar when you're pouring it to keep the ice out too or if you have a small strainer you might use for cooking, use that.
Get creative. ;)

Enjoy!

I have a variation on said drink called a Screaming Orgasm, wherein you replace the amaretto w/ vanilla vodka

1 oz each of Kahlua and Amaretto sounds delightful. The scoop of crushed ice will help to chill out, but OMFG! that "1 ox Bailey's Irish Cream" is going to be a killer!

Hard to get into the glass, it's going to cost a fortune, and whether you survive or not is debatable. But they'll never stop talking about you and that glorious night.

Thanks for inventing one of the more eye-browsing cocktails - or should that be oxtails - in the bartender's book.
