Bubble girl....

I was sick for a couple weeks. Sunday & Monday I began to feel better
finally. Tuesday, I woke up feeling like major hell. Which sucks on a
lot of levels. Especially as it was Mom's birthday & I was to take her
to dinner for her birthday. Tuesday night, my fever & body temp got so
high that I had to be put in cool water to bring it down. It was kind
of scary but I ended up getting it down to a 100.8 degrees and keeping
it between there and 99.2 degrees. I have the flu. Yesterday, I
finally broke the high fever trend. I still have a slight fever that
comes & goes on top of all the other flu symptoms that haven't gone
anywhere. I've pretty much been in bed. Sleep. Medicine. Fluids.
Rinse. Repeat. Even now, I'm typing this from my cell phone while
laying in bed. Thankfully I have a kickass phone with a full QWERTY
keyboard which makes it easier to do entries on my cell.

I hate getting sick. I have a personal health issue that fucks me up.
I don't recover quickly once ill. No matter how much rest and fluids I
get in me. No matter how strong an atibiotic I get. I don't kick sick
quickly. So when I do fall ill, I end up sick for weeks on end every
single time. Which is why I do all I can to prevent from getting sick.
It works sometimes. Due to my health issue, if I'm around someone
that's sick, chances aree no matter what, I'm gonna get it too.
Sometimes I get lucky and that isn't the case but most of the time...
Yeah, I need a bubble to roam around in, lol.

So.... meh, nevermind. I'm tired. I had other stuff I wanted to type
out but I'll get to that some other time when I'm feeling better.

Hope yall have a happy Friday & a good weekend!!

The most recent toy the super awesome people at Eden Fantasys sent to me was another one that looks rather odd. Like I've said before, I love trying out the toys that don't look like all of the rest. The unique ones catch my eye. So when I saw the Bonsai Joy by Erotic Embrace, it looked like something I would totally be down to try. Check it out.

Weird looking little thing isn't it?

The Bonsai Joy is made out of Phthalate free Elastomer. It has a similar feel to a jelly toy but it's softer and there isn't any funky smell to it. From what I understand, the material is supposedly safer and all around better than jelly and I would agree that it definitely feels better than jelly. Then again, I'm not a fan of jelly at all but I digress. It's a g-spot vibe that also offers clitoral and perineum stimulation. The toy is 6" in length but you can only insert 3 1/4" of the toy. The shaft is curved and formed mostly of three balls with little ticklers all over them. There is also one little nub on the bottom ball and two little nubs on the second ball for added stimulation. The nubs also have ticklers attached there as well. The shaft is pliable yet also rather firm. The shaft is rather slim for my liking as the center ball is 1 1/4" in diameter and is the largest ball of the three. It's easy to get in though and the unique design of the curved shaft formed of tickler covered balls is definitely nice over your average simple curved toy.

A large bullet attached to a battery powered control pack takes care of the multi-speed vibrations. There are four settings for the vibrations. The first three are continuous vibrations like most toys and range from what I'll call low, medium and high. The fourth setting is a pulsating vibration. The controls are simple. The button to the right turns the toy on or off and the button on the left cycles through your four levels of vibrations. The bullet is also removable and comes out with no problem. It's also easy to put back in.

The battery pack runs off two AA batteries. The battery compartment lid slides down easily but doesn't come off all of the way. You slide down and then flip it up to insert or remove the batteries. I liked that the lid doesn't come off all of the way because you never have to worry about losing it. I also had no problem with it slipping at all during use of the pack so yay.

I always clean my toys when I get them out of the package. I know they've never been used before. In this toy, there was no chemical smell or no smell at all honestly. Still, I clean them before the first use, after every use and sometimes if they've been sitting for a while... yep, I clean them again before using them. No one can ever say my naughty toys are dirty. In a literal sense anyway. ;)

I really love the way the shaft feels. It isn't the biggest and even though it's a g-spot toy, it doesn't really reach the g-spot that well. It reaches enough that the vibrations of the toy provide some stimulation to the g-spot but it's not enough. If the insertable length for half an inch or an inch longer, it would be heaven for your g-spot. The design of the toy is what I like. The top and bottom balls are the same size I believe but the center one is larger. You can really feel the size of the balls as you slide the toy in and out. I got a lot of stimulation from the curve and the ball shapes. It really feels great. The ticklers also provide more added sensation but only slightly for me. The nubs that I mentioned on the center ball and the one nub on the bottom ball weren't noticeable for me. I didn't feel any added sensation from them and only vaguely noticed their presence once inserted.

The base of the toy in the front has more ticklers and that is supposed to be a clitoral stimulator. It didn't reach my clitoris though which was disappointing. That part of the toy is pretty much useless because it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. If your clit is maybe an inch or less from your vagina, you'll have great luck with this. Mine doesn't happen to be that close so I didn't get any stimulation from the front. If it were a bit longer then it would have offered great clitoral stimulation I assume. I could feel the vibrations from it greatly since the base is sitting right on top of the bullet. It would have been nice if it would have been long enough to actually reach my clit. Though, I don't mind much because while I do LOVE clitoral stimulation, I don't need it to get off. It's just like sprinkles on a cupcake for me; not necessary but definitely a nice little extra I'll never complain about.

The base of the toy in the back has a larger size nub. I figured that was probably there to massage the perineum because it's not going much farther than that honestly, lol. If that's not what it's for then I'm going to say it's just for decoration because seriously, even if it could reach something else, it's not big enough to do any kind of good. I could feel the vibrations gently in that area so it did add a small amount of added sensation.

The actual vibrations aren't bad. The low setting is gentle and didn't do much for me. The second vibration setting was a bit stronger and the third vibration setting was fairly nice. It wasn't really strong but a good moderate vibration that got me going really well. The pulsating vibration was only so-so. It was somewhere between the gentle low setting and the second setting for the vibrations. You could feel it but there wasn't a lot of oomph behind it.

My only complaint vibrations wise is that I didn't feel that the top ball (that has the most ticklers on it by the way) of the curved shaft got enough vibration. The base sits on top of the bullet so it was buzzing away nicely. The bottom and middle balls of the curved shaft were fine too but the top ball seemed to be missing out because even on the highest setting, it didn't feel like it was getting enough of the power distributed up to it. With that being the part that was actually toying with my g-spot, I would have liked some of the oomph from the base to make it up to the top. Still, it felt good though. A lot of what I enjoy about that toy is really the shape and curve of the shaft. It's just delicious as it's being worked in and out of you.

I did try to use the shaft of the toy to stimulate my clitoris. It got there fine and the ticklers felt interesting in a very good way against my clit. The lack of power reaching that top ball wasn't a problem when using it on and around my clitoris. That felt awesome.

I also removed the bullet and played with it on it's own. I used to to tease and stimulate my clitoris, nipples and slid it up and down the lips of my vagina. Fun times I say. Since it's removable, y
ou can also use a different bullet in the sleeve if you have one similar in size. That way if you want more powerful vibrations, more tame vibrations, a different combination of things or whatever; you can just remove the one it comes with and use your own.

Noise wise, it isn't too bad. I also have incredibly sensitive hearing. Seriously, don't whisper if you're going to sit next to me because there's about a 90% chance I'm going to hear what you say. I have freakishly good hearing. I digress. It's a little noisy but nothing that can't be handled. If you shut the bedroom door and have on some background noise such as the TV or some music playing at a moderate level, you can faintly hear the noise of the bullet mixed in with the background noise. That's if you're standing right outside the door. Standing about two feet away from the closed door, I didn't hear anything but the music I had on.

Cleaning the toy is easy. The bullet comes out quite easily so you don't have to worry about getting the large bullet or the cord wet. The end of the toy is left open though, leaving the bottom of the bullet and the cord exposed. That part of the toy doesn't come in contact with the body though. Inside the shaft, there is a tube that prevents the shaft from being floppy. The tube can come out but it is extremely difficult to get the tube out and equally as difficult getting it back in since it wasn't made to come out, lol. I don't think it's very likely you're going to need to clean the inside of the toy since you shouldn't be able to get much, if anything, in there. If you do, luckily the insides don't come in direct contact with flesh. I get extremely wet during play and sex and I didn't have a problem. I was also careful in cleaning not to get any soap and water up in the shaft area. Getting that tube out and back in twice was so not something I wanted to do, lol. You could always use a condom over the toy as well. The only downfall to that is you don't get the soft feeling of the elastomer and the condom also keeps you from feeling the ticklers that are all over the shaft. If you're going to share the toy, using the condom would be good anyway since you can't totally sanitize the toy.

You can use this toy anally but I haven't done that. Yet. I will and my follow up commentary talking about my anal experience will be added on Eden Fantasys. So you'll have to check there in a week or so and see what I think about this toy when used for anal. I also need to use it with my boyfriend and see what he has to say about it. I love throwing in the male perspective on these things. Though he did help with something in the review. You'll notice in some of the pictures there is a large hand holding the toy in a few of the shots. I had my boyfriend hold it while I took pictures. He's such a good sport. ;)

I do like this toy though and I've used it several times now. I think if the shaft were slightly longer, if the top ball got all the vibrations the base does and if the clitoral stimulator could actually reach my clit.... then I would love this toy. Just a little fine tuning is all it needs and it would rock my fucking socks off.

Oh, hi.

Yeah, my hair isn't black anymore. Two weeks ago, we had a family get together and my step-cousins wife was bored. She's been a master stylist for 14 years and owns her own salon. She was bored and wanted to do everyone's hair. She was offering body wraps too, lol. So, I asked her if she would trim my hair up, fix the layers the last girl that did my hair tried to do but fucked up. She said she could fix it so I was happy. She asked if I wanted color. I asked if she could do purple highlights, lol. She could but didn't bring purple with her. She asked if she could do something to it. She played with my hair and asked if I wanted to go lighter and I said sure. I told her to do whatever and I'd trust her judgment. If I hated it, I could always fix it with darker color later. So my hair is a mix of dark brown, copper and orange. I actually like it. I love the way she did the long layers she did with my hair too. Of course, I'll get better pictures to show off my hair. Eventually.

It's pretty obvious I haven't been blogging much. I haven't had the free time honestly. I wish I could say it was because I have a real full time job and that's why I'm too busy to work. That's not it though. There's just a lot going on that I don't feel like typing up yet. Family stuff. Issues with other things. Trying to do this and do that. I don't have any free time to get online to do much. I haven't had time to blog, to read other blogs (which sucks because I miss reading y'all!), e-mail, participate on the few other websites I like or even read the freaking news online on a regular basis. Sometimes I go a few days without touching my laptop. Nice to know that while I miss all this shit, I'm not going crazy without it. Though I already knew I'm not the kind of person who freaks out without the internet. It's only a small part of my life and when I have too much real life going on, it doesn't bother me to not get online that often. I'm sorry if that sounds bad because I don't mean it to be bad or insulting in any way at all. Though, I do wish I had time to blog every day again and read all my favorite blogs on a more regular basis but whatever. Such is life. ;)

For those that have asked about my grandparents, thanks so much. My grandfather isn't doing any better. He's doing worse actually. They don't think he'll make it passed Thanksgiving. Sucks. I'm going to miss him so much.

My dad and 22 were both here to visit for a week. I tried to spend as much time with them as I could before they went back to California.

LS has been here for two weeks now. She's leaving in a few days. She'll have been here three weeks once she heads back to California. She's thinking about moving back home to Texas though, she misses it here. Most of her stuff is in CA still though and she still has a job there (working for dad has it's perks ;)) so she wants to get a couple more paychecks if she does decide to move. Smart kid. I can't believe my little sister is almost 19.

I didn't realize how much I missed Dad, LS and 22 until they all came to visit. Watching my dad leave at the airport... I just wished he didn't have to leave. I wish we could all live in the same state again so I could see them all more. I probably won't see Dad or 22 again until next year. If LS doesn't decide to move back at the end of the year, I won't see her again until next year either. Yeah, I love my family. We're a weird, close bunch and I don't dig hardly ever seeing them. Anyway.....

I've been sick for a little over two weeks now. Sucks. I went almost four whole days without being able to talk because my throat was swollen and my voice was just gone. It fucking sucked! I talk a lot. I couldn't stand not being able to talk. Plus, we went to the Stars game on Monday night and I couldn't cheer or yell. That was torture. I had to settle for clapping, whistling and stomping my feet. The Stars lost that night too. Doubly sad. Though they played the Ducks in Anaheim last night and fucking won! Hell yes. Didn't get to watch it but I listened to the second and third period, lol. I'm SO happy hockey is back! Love love love love love it!

Last but not least... Aside from the fact that today is the birthday of three of my real life friends, today is also the birthday of on of my blogger friends! The intelligent, sweet, witty, lovely Another Suburban Mom! Go wish her a happy day now! =)

Muah! =)

Not rocking my world...

I received Jenna's Velvet G Vibrator from the wonderful people at Tabu Toys. I was happy about this because it looks a little odd and I like trying out the toys that don't look like all of the rest. Though I was a little worried about the egg-shaped head of the vibrator.

Lets get the basics out of the way first off. This G-spot vibrator is made out of hard plastic covered with velvet cote. That gives it a firm but very smooth, silky feeling. The shaft isn't flexible nor is the head of the toy. It is Phthalates free so no worries there. The toy is a nice size with the length at 9" though the insertable length is 8". Circumference is 4.5". shaft ranges from 1.5" to 1.8" in diameter. The bulk of the shaft is large but tapers down to a smaller size as you get closer to the head of the toy. The egg-shaped head is 2.5" in length, 1.5" in diameter and the circumference is 2.8". The toy is multi speed controlled by a turn dial at the base of the toy. It runs off of two AA batteries and it is waterproof.

Now that we have the basics out of the way, lets get to the fun part of the review.

After I opened the package, I did my usual and did my once over of the toy. I was a little apprehensive holding it in my hands because I know my body and the egg-shaped head made me a little nervous now that I was examining it. I cleaned the toy off with warm soap and water as I always do before using it for the first time. I popped in the batteries and turned the dial to experiment with the vibrations. Holy shit! This toy is LOUD. I mean seriously loud. I can deal with some noise but geez.

I got out my favorite lube and got to work with the toy. I was apprehensive about it going in so I used my fingers to work myself open a little bit before attempting to get this toy in. After a few minutes, relaxed, angled the toy and started sliding it in. I didn't have much trouble getting it in but I did have to work the angle around a little to get it to go inside. Once inside, it felt a little odd. I turned the dial to start the vibrations and the lower settings just really don't do much for me. It makes a lot of noise but doesn't offer much in the ways of good vibrations. I slowly worked my way up the dial not really feeling much as I increased vibrations. At the higher settings, I could feel pleasant vibrations but they weren't that good. I'd give the highest setting a three on a scale of one to ten with ten being the best/highest. Not only that but it's just so damn noisy. You'd think with that much noise you would be getting a powerful little motor but that just didn't seem to be the case here.

After a few minutes, the toy was really uncomfortable to have inside me. The shaft was a good size but the egg-shaped head that's meant to stimulate the G-spot just wasn't doing it for me. It was uncomfortable, wasn't hitting my G-spot and the vibrations weren't so hot either. I decided to pull it out and try it out as a clitoral stimulator. Only thing was, when I was trying to remove the toy, the head caught on my pubic bone and I had trouble getting it back out. I had to slowly wiggle it around to get it uncaught and back out. Which is something I was worried about for myself. I was willing to try anyway and thought that since I didn't have much trouble getting it in, it wouldn't be much trouble coming out. I tried using this toy again without using my fingers to get myself opened up a bit more and found that I had quite a bit more trouble getting the toy inside me.

I hopped in the shower with it to test it out as a clitoral stimulator and to test out the waterproof feature. It held up fine in the shower. I was hoping since the clitoris is a lot more sensitive that the vibrations would be good for that. No such luck. Even on the highest setting, I wasn't impressed and neither was my clit. Though having waterproof toys in the shower is fun and it makes for easy clean-up as well.

The only seam on the toy is on the egg-shaped head which is helpful for a good thorough cleaning. I used warm soap and water to clean the vibrator off. Since the toy runs off batteries, no boiling or putting this baby in the dishwasher. Soap and water works fine as will a good toy cleaner if that's what you prefer.

I used this toy on my boyfriend too. I used the head to tease his nipples and his testicles. He didn't find the vibrations to be too thrilling either and the amount of noise and lack of oomph turned him off of it as well.

All in all, this toy isn't for me. The design is neat but doesn't work for my anatomy. Even if it were a little smaller, I still wouldn't dig it. Despite the awesome silky feeling material wrapped around the toy, the lack of good vibrations makes it kind of pointless for me. I also couldn't stand how noisy the toy was. I can handle some noise but even I found the noise to be distracting a little bit. I had my CD player on for background noise and it didn't much help. If you're looking for something to discreetly get off with, don't go for this because you'll need your television or stereo blaring to mask the sound of this toy.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Tabu Toys for letting me try this vibrator. Want to check out this toy or something else from their great selection? Just click the banner and off you go. =o)

Feel your boobs.

I've been a horrible blogger lately. Life happens though. Things have been kind of hectic. There's a lot going on that I haven't posted about. I'm sure I'll get to it.

It's October already. Which means... National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Feel your boobies.

I normally don't post anything about Breast Cancer Awareness. Though it's a cause I care a lot about I am more of a silent supporter usually. Though recently, due to personal reasons, it's become more important to me so I'm going to get more vocal about it. Don't worry, I'm fine. I'll get to that subject though. When I can bring myself to write about it without crying.

Though, I was watching a program the other day that had a lot of breast cancer survivors on. It was so touching to see so many survivors. It also made me sad because I know there are also so many women who don't and so many who won't survive. Which I knew already honestly but it becomes different when it's someone you know, someone you love, who is suffering and won't be making it through. It's sad when you think of all the people you've never met that didn't survive but it doesn't hit you like it does when it's someone you know.

Ah well, I already started, so lets just go. I've talked before about my grandparents. How much they mean to me and how much I love them. Talked about how much time I spent with them growing up. How many amazing memories I have with them. And yes, I do know how lucky I am that I got to know them as I did. I do know how lucky I am that I had the chance to have so many good times with them. I know I'm lucky to that I got to have them around so much growing up. I know, I'm lucky that I've had everything I have had and still have with them. I know that but hearing it isn't comforting when I know that they won't be here much longer because their illnesses are becoming more than they can fight. They're old and they just don't have it in them to keep fighting either. A part of me wants to see them pass because I know when they do, they won't be in pain anymore. No more doctors, medicines, treatments and other crap. Then there is the selfish part of me that hates the thought of them not being around anymore. The part of me that wants to hold on and keep them around forever. That part of me makes watching this so hard. I wish I could fix it but I know there is nothing that I can do. Other than making sure they know I love them and getting what time I have left with them in.

They both have cancer, they both have other ailments. My grandfather has cancer, other ailments and he's had two strokes in the less than two weeks. They aren't his first and second, he's had several before. In the last year, I've watched his illnesses take hold of him and watched things go. His vision. His hearing. His speech. His ability to move around. Last time I visited, I watched him use his cane and take three steps at a time before stopping because that's all he could do. I watched him stop to lean against the wall. I watched him almost fall over several times. I watched him take 2 minutes to walk down a hall that takes no more than 5 seconds for most anyone else. I wanted to help but I knew I couldn't. I offered to help, he said no. I knew he would.

My grandmother has some ailments. I say ailments and I don't list much because mostly, this is personal. It's also hard for me to write about so keeping it short and to the bare minimum helps. She also has breast cancer. It isn't a recent discovery but something she's been battling. I've never mentioned it because I had hopes. She has lost her left breast entirely recently. Her doctor now thinks she may have bone cancer. She's a tough lady I know but it's wearing her down.

I know people say there is always hope but here, I know there isn't much left to hope for. My grandfather has been battling cancer and the other things for at least 10 years now if not longer. He says he's ready to quit fighting. I believe him. I don't even blame him. I also believe that when a person has a major disease, if they don't want to fight it anymore and if they don't have it in them to overcome it anymore, they won't. I know he won't be with us much longer.

My mom, dad, youngest brother, 23 year old brother and little sister live in California still. My mom and youngest brother however are moving back to Texas. They've already started the drive actually.
Mom & YB will be here Sunday night. I'm apparently lacking the ability to comprehend things correctly lately, lol. I thought they would be here sooner but it's all good. I get to see them Sunday night so hooray. My mom packed up her SUV with a lot of their belongings. My mom needs to help her sisters care for their parents and she can't do that in California. She also, of course, wants to spend as much time as she can for what she has left with her parents. Plus, she just likes Texas better anyway. ;)

So that's a lot of what has been going on lately and a lot of why I haven't been around much on my blog, reading blogs, on Twitter, sending out e-mails, forums, instant messenger or anything else. I just haven't had much I wanted to say and I've been distracted and busy as hell. Not to mention dealing with other stuff and still trying to find a job. On the plus side, Boyfriend started working this week for a company he had worked for before. He hates what he's doing but it's not bad money and it's something to have income until he can find something better.

Anyway, that's all I've got for today. I do have a way overdue review going up tomorrow. That was actually what I was going to post today but I couldn't get the pictures and video onto my laptop and didn't want to post the review without them.

Have a good weekend y'all.
