HNT: Lilies

Monique over at Escape Hatch gifted me with this bloggy award.

Pretty nice huh?

So I'm going to bestow it upon JeannieGrrl, KBear, Weekends Off, Another Suburban Mom, Masquerade, Rage, Pluff, Fairy Flutters, Here I Smile and Samantha. Why? I have no reason. They were picked at random my by pointer courtesy of my blog roll. I thought about picking people on my own but there's no fun in that. People can't get their feelings hurt if I pick a bunch of people at random. I scroll up and down without looking and stop, whomever I land on, I picked. Easy easy. Pluff, this one is for you buddy. It's a little less... girly looking, lol.

My guy sent me flowers. See this post for more on that. I decided to use them to snap a few pictures for HNT. I took plenty with these lovely flowers so you'll be seeing more of them. =) I really prefer the main picture on display over the click this week. I was really happy with how the main one turned out. I'm rarely pleased with my own pictures so that's something for me, lol. I'll try to make it around but the internet situation that I explained in Tuesday's post isn't any better than it has been, lol.

Today, I'm smiling. =D

I've returned to make a second post. The Wednesday Weirdness post is below this one.

I lived in Texas up until around 20 days ago when I moved to California. My boyfriend stayed in Texas. Read about that here if you haven't.

I was awakened early in the AM to receive a long box from Fed Ex. My dad woke me up telling me that someone had sent me flowers and to wake up so I could open the box. It took me a few moments but I got up and opened them. These are what I got.

Those lovely flowers arrived from Pro Flowers and the thing I love about it is they always come unopened. They start opening usually a couple hours after you get them in water and by the next day, most of them will be open partially. My awesome boyfriend sent me these flowers. I'm not a flowers kind of girl really. I don't care for roses and most other flowers. I love Lilies. It's more the gesture behind it that gets me. I forget about them for the most part after they're in a vase. Until someone comments on them anyway, lol. Or if I happen to look up and see them, remember and grin. It's just a very sweet thing to do, especially when there's no occasion accompanying them. Just because gifts rock.

Nobody wins when every one's losing...

So, have I mentioned that I have too much fun taking goofy pictures? This one here is from our drive from Texas to CA of me checking out things over the view of my Monster Java. See the ginseng? Yep. That so doesn't make up for all the bad that's in that amazing can of goodness but do you think I care? Not at all. Yummy. =D

My hair was a mess, thankfully that wild style isn't too visible in this shot. I actually like my hair to look a mess. It's funny because people see it like that and sometimes mention how it will suck when I brush the tangles out. It isn't tangled. My hair is naturally a wavy/curly mess and even when I take the measures to straighten it, humidity or heat in general kills any attempt I made to straighten. It's not tangled, just messy and wild. It's usually easy to brush out but if I brush it, it puffs out. I'd rather have messy hair over it puffing out, thank you. =)

I was reading Dana's TMI Tuesday post yesterday and she mentioned reading Reader's Digest. I commented that I always enjoyed reading that periodical myself. Her response was that she couldn't believe I read Reader's Digest. I didn't think it would be a surprising fact. Just something fairly boring that I mentioned because I rarely know people who read it aside from my parents. My parents are the ones who got me into reading them. There were always stacks around me growing up. I started thumbing through them as a kiddo just to read the jokes. I got a little older and appreciated some of the ironic pieces in there. I got older and started reading the fun stuff and tons of the articles. I find them to be fairly informative and definitely interesting. There are always the things to amuse me if none of the articles interest me. That rarely happens though. I kind of grew up with those around and always enjoyed them. When I moved out, I'd visit my mom and always check to see if there were new ones there for me to go through. Now that I live with my family again, at least for the next year, I have them available to me all the time. =)

By the way, I am feeling a lot better today. Thanks for the comments and e-mails wishing me well. Y'all rock.

ANYWAY... On the the weirdness! =)

1. Would you rather be 3 inches taller, or 3 inches shorter than you already are?

Three inches taller, definitely. I'm 5'7" as it is but with my boyfriend being 6'8", I'll take being taller, lol. I also always wanted to be about 5'9" I have no idea why but yeah, lol. I already have issues buying pants because I have long legs. Most of my height comes from my legs and I have to buy "long" jeans and pants. Sometimes those aren't even long enough. I hate buying jeans and pants. It takes forever to find something long enough that fits well.

2. What are 3 words that could never be used to describe you?

Conceited. I could never be described as that. I don't have the self esteem to be conceited about my looks or anything else, lol. That's not to say I'm not confident because I am fairly confident. I hate conceit.

Docile. Lol. Just.. no, not me, not ever.

Predictable. I don't try to be unpredictable, it just seems to happen that way, lol. I love to plan and I also love to be spontaneous. I'm very random and quirky. I also tend to dislike routine and repetition. I'm also just weird and sometimes it's hard to guess how I'll react to something. Sometimes my reactions and decisions surprise me, lol.

3. If you could have any 3 materialistic things in this world tax free without paying a single cent for any of them, what would they be and why?

My dream house. I have it in my mind what and where my dream house will be but for now, I wouldn't be able to afford it myself. I seriously hate apartments, townhouses, condos and the like. I can't wait for the day I no longer have to live in them.

A car. Since this is unrealistic and I don't have to do any work for it other than say what I want and there it is. I want... A 1977 Pontiac Trans Am in amazing condition set up just the way I want it done in black cherry with black interior. Le sigh. A 1985 Trans Am would do nicely too. ;)

A new tv. Flat panel HDTV. Watching football and hockey on a big screen high defnition television is a-ma-zing.

4. Have you ever eaten something at the grocery store while you were shopping, prior to buying it? Did you pay for it when you got to the check out line ?

I can't recall ever doing that actually. I've been with people who have done that. A few of those times, they tried to discard the bottle or package to avoid paying for it but I suck and wouldn't let them. Sure it's only $3 or $4 but still.

5. Have you ever fallen asleep or nodded off during sex before?

Fallen asleep, no. Nodded off, sort of. Not with my current guy but with a friend with benefits back in the day, lol. When he was under the influence, it wasn't his best time for performing. I learned not to bother when he was intoxicated.

6. What are 3 jobs you’d leave your current job for? If you don't have a current job, just list 3 jobs you would like to have. Rock star. It's a job, lol. Sort of. My problem with that is that I'd never make a good celebrity. I'd hate the attention. I'd actually be happy to be a 5 year person that's big for 5 years and then just goes away. I'd save up money well and then I could fade away and no one would care what I did after I faded far enough away. Theoretically, of course.

Business owner. I fully know and understand all the hard work that goes in to running your own business because of growing up around a parent who runs their own business. I love being involved with that though and I aspire to own my own business one of these days. I love the constant challenge it gives you. Sure, it's stressful and it's a headache but I do well with that stuff because it's a challenge to me. It's a lot of the same things but it's also different from day to day.

Doctor. Duh. =) Don't you read here at all?

Other notable mentions are: Writer, professor, artist, dancer (NOT a stripper, pervs), broadway star, forensics, fbi, fire fighter and architecture.

7. Do you or have you ever answered the phone during sex?

I have at least once that I remember. A friend of mine called 5 times in a row. I turned the phone on silent and then the guy's phone started going off with that friend calling him to try and reach me since they were mutual friends because of me. I snatched up the phone and asked what was so urgent. He was drunk and wanted to tell me about how he finally hooked up with the girl he had been chasing for months on end. I told him I was fucking, that I would call back later and not to bother me again until then. He laughed his ass off and I hung up and put that phone on silent too.

Another time, was when I was fooling around with a girl from work when I was 16 and it was her that answered the phone. It was her mother and she had one of those who would go out looking for her if she didn't answer the call. So she answered the call and kept messing around with me slightly for the 15 minutes the call took, lol. =) That was a fun trip to the mall.

Happy Wednesday Y'all! =)

My TMI post is long today. The bonus question is, for me, a post in itself. I knew when I read it that it was going to be one hell of an answer for me, lol.

Also, I'll get around when I can. The internet we have is touch and go with how it works. Or should I say, it works about 15% of the time. We're working on getting something better. I think. I hope. $50 a month for something that works an hour a day or less is a shitty little deal. =D

Anyway, on with the TMI...

1. What is your language pet peeve?

When people say "I could care less" when they are trying to make the point that what you just said means absolutely nothing to them instead of saying "I couldn't care less." Could care less implies that, you really good care less than you do at that moment. Could not care less means you could not care less than you do at the moment, that's it, no more, not happening.

As a written one, it drives me wild when people TypE LiKe thiS iN wHoLe seNtenCeS. I see that and I won't bother to read a word of it.

2. What is your favorite word? Both dirty and clean?

Dirty: Fuck, slut, bitch, ass and so on and so forth.
Clean: Massage, lust, psychological, intensity, idyllic, intoxicating, delectable, unadulterated, insanity, musical, amorous, metal, whatever and on and on and on.

3. What is the one word you cannot spell?

I don't have a lot of trouble spelling words. Two words that almost always trip me up however is narcissistic and necessary. I usually get them right on my own but I really have to stop and think about it before using either word.

4. What is the one word you always pronounce wrong?

None really. Hmm... Lancaster. It's a city in Texas but for some reason I always have trouble pronouncing it correctly. I can say more exotic places and words with no trouble but that one always trips me up and comes out wrong.

5. If you could erase one popular catchphrase from the English language, what would it be?

"That's hot" probably. Only when they say it a certain way. When they pronounce hot like hawt. Everyone fucking says that. When something is hot, when something isn't hot to be a bitch. It drives me crazy. If it's how you pronounce the word, it's fine. It's when it's said in the ala Paris Hilton way that it drives me nuts.

Also... "What it do?" I hear that one far too much and it drives me nuts.

When people use the words "like" and "totally" far too often in their sentences.

When people start everything with, "Oh my God!"

The worda "hella" and "hecka" drive me bonkers. I'm sorry y'all, lol.

When people constantly say things such as "LOL" , "OMG" , "LMAO" , "IDK" or any text like that in actual verbal conversations. Example: "Like OMG, IDK what to wear LOL"... Once in a while or here and there, it doesn't bother me so much. When it happens a lot, I swear I could choke someone.

*Bonus* The late, and very hot Michael Hutchence (INXS) once sang, "Words are weapons, sharper than knives" . What is the most hurtful thing you have ever said to anyone? Was it deliberate or accidental? What was the most hurtful thing ever said to you? Do you think it was deliberate or accidental?

I have no idea. Actually, after I broke up with Cheat Ass, we had a long argument a couple days later. He was begging me to let him make it up to me, to make things right between us. He said he would do anything to make things right with me so I would take him back. That he was sorry and he loved me too much to let his mistakes finish us. I told him I didn't love him anymore so it didn't matter what he did. That he'd never be able to make it up to me because I just didn't give a shit about him anymore.

I knew it was wrong, immature, spiteful and flat out mean. I did it deliberately to hurt him. He'd hurt me so badly in what he had done, I wanted to be able to make some kind of dig into him, to hurt him even a little bit. It worked. I didn't hurt him the way he had hurt me but it left a mark on him. It left something on me then because I felt wretched about it later. It wasn't true at the time and I had acted like one of those spiteful, stupid bitches that I usually cannot stand.

I try hard to hold it in when I have things to say that would be deliberately cruel. I have a terrible temper. A lot of people think it isn't as bad as I say it is but that's because I've gotten insanely good at controlling it over the last few years. If I said a quarter of the nasty things that pop into my mind when I'm angry or annoyed, people would understand my stance on my temper better. I try so very hard not to spew that garbage in a disagreement though. Usually, it's things that are true but they can be said in a way that is low, cruel and far below the belt. Shots like that are uncalled for, mean and hurt. I try hard to swallow them down as soon as they're thought. Occasionally, I've let them slide out of anger and felt terrible about it almost as soon as I've said it or as soon as I've calmed down. I try hard not to be the kind of person who says deliberately hurtful things out of anger, spite, my own hurt or anything else.

The most hurtful thing said to me? I can think of three things right now. I'd rather keep them to myself honestly. Two were said deliberately, to hurt me. They did well. They were both said over a year ago and I still feel hurt when I think back on them. They were true but like I said, the kind of true that can be turned into something bad when said the wrong way. The third thing was accidental. I doubt the person even knows what they said hurts me because I've never told him that it hurt. He didn't mean it to hurt me and I wouldn't ever tell him it did because it would just make him feel bad.

I'm generally not effected by words. Only a few people, those I care about the absolute most, can hurt me with the things they say. I hear shit from people all the time and I just let it roll off of him. It's that small group of people though, that I really care what they say, feel and think in regard to me. I hold what they say close and they're the only ones who can truly hurt me with their words.

Please remember to play Wednesday Weirdness tomorrow!
It's my turn for the questions this week. Should be... uh... fun. Lol.

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

Medicated Monday.

No, not that kind of medicated. I'm not high on happy pills at the moment so cool it people. ;)

I've been sick through the weekend and now it's starting the week and... I'm still feeling ill. I start work in CA on Friday so that gives me this week to get my ass feeling better. I'm feeling better than I have been the last few days so I'm sure by Friday I'm going to be great! I'm excited. I hate not working. Not only because I hate not having money coming in but I feel horribly unproductive and lazy when I go for a while not working. It sucks.

I don't have much to write about at the moment. My weekend consisted mostly of taking medicine, sleeping, puking, sneezing, coughing, blowing through tissues like crazy and not being able to keep most food down. Sounds exciting, right? That's what I thought, lol.

I'm also really irritated right now so that puts a damper on me wanting to write. I so dislike people sometimes. Most of the time. Whatever, ya know? Can't live with 'em, can't legally kill 'em. Lol. =D Even people I like and care for, sometimes you just want to smack them sometimes. *Sigh*

Plus, I still don't feel well and it's about time to load my ass up with more medicine and lay back down to relax. I've slept most of the day so I'm sure I'll be up for a while longer. I'll be blissfully medicated in my relaxed state though.

For not wanting to write, I did a pretty good job, huh? Lol. It's my Robitussin-Zicam-Dayquil cocktail talking, I swear. =) I've had so much of the stuff I think it's replaced the blood in my system. Ok, so maybe not but you get what I mean.

Happy Monday Y'all!

Friday, July 25, 2008

It's Friday, oh joy.

I was talking to a friend earlier and he was telling me about the few things that bother him about his new girlfriend. He was asking me about how to approach these things with her. He had four things. I told him only one would be worth mentioning and making a point out of. He asked me why. The three things I think he should hush about are just silly quirks that annoy him. They are likely part of what makes her, well, her. If he brings it up, she's likely going to get pissed, feel awkward or get upset. Needlessly so. The thing in relationships, no matter how compatible you are with someone, there is always going to be a thing or two your significant other does that you don't like. There will always be a characteristic that you don't care for. Some things are worth mentioning. Other things, not so much. I don't normally advocate people keeping things, feelings, emotions and the whole lot inside. There are quite a few things but I can never bring myself to say to a couple people. It would be mean. It would also be selfish. I would feel better about it, having got it out there but is it worth it to make someone else feel like crap over something that doesn't matter in the slightest? No. Some things are better left unsaid. In my opinion.

That's my two cents for the day.

Enjoy a quiz and some random questions. I'm fresh out of inspiration at the moment.

Do you ever wonder if stars are people we lost?
I never have before but that's interesting in itself.

Do you like blue cheese dressing?
It isn't my favorite but it's not bad.

Have you ever smoked heroin?
No, heroin is one of the drugs I didn't try.

Do you own guns?
I have two water guns. I'm buying a paintball gun soon. =)

What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic?
Vanilla. I love vanilla.

Is there anyone on your Myspace or Facebook friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
There are a couple that I have had sex with including the one I am currently having sex with.
There *may* be a couple girlies on there that I wouldn't turn away. =D
I don't have a Facebook.

Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
Not usually.

What do you think of hot dogs?
I do *not* eat them.

What's one trait that you hate about yourself?
My temper. I love it and hate it horribly at the same time.

Name 3 things you bought yesterday?
Yesterday.. I purchased nothing. =D

Sex in the morning, afternoon or night?
Any time.

Name 3 drinks you regularly drink?
Juice, water, tea.

Current worry?
So much.

What gives you stomach aches?

Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?
Meh, they're nice but far from my favorite.

Where is the weirdest place you have had sex?
Mmm... probably outside of a cemetary. Not in the cemetary, that would be disrespectful to the ones buried there.

Would you be a pirate?
I would do it for the rum.

Does someone of the same sex have a crush on you?
Very doubtful.

Favorite Sports Team?
Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, UT Longhorns.

Have you ever been in handcuffs?
Yes. I've never been arrested though.

Have you ever caught anything on fire?
Yes! Many times. Nothing ever gone wrong or bad though.

Kissed someone of the same sex?
Of course. =)

Ever had sex in the bathroom?
Yes. Shower and counter.

Do you usually have weird dreams?
Yes, weird, creepy, odd, violent.

Do you have trust issues?

Do you believe in love at first sight?
With animals only.

In the past 72 hours have you been under the influence?
Nope, no alcohol for me here lately. Boo. =(

When was the last time something bothered you?

Have you ever been in an "adult" store?
Of course!

Have you ever bought anything from an adult store?
Of course!

Have you ever broken someone's heart?

Do tattoos and piercings excite you?
It depends on what the tat is, where it's at, how well it's done and who it's on. Piercing depends on who it's on, where it is and what the jewelry looks like.

Has anyone ever called you perfect before?
Yes and they were lying. No one is perfect.

Name something you have to do tomorrow?

Do you know what a rusty trombone is?
Yes I do and no thanks. Sorry, licking ass is not for me.

Has anyone ever told you you have pretty eyes?

Have you ever worked in a food place? What do you think of people who work food?
Yes and I don't mind it so much. The biggest downside is snotty customers who treat their servers like shit because they assume they're stupid or some kind of loser or slacker for working a food service job. Sometimes that's true but.... Who would serve your lazy ass if not for them? Stay home and cook or throw something in the microwave if you're going to be an ass to your server for no good reason. Even if it's at a fast food place. I really dislike anyone who thinks they're above a job just because they get paid more than that person or because they have a better job title. I respect people for working. It's better than people who mooch when they could be working. /rant.

Ever been caught having sex?
Sort of, yeah, lol.

Have you ever had sex with someone and called them the wrong name?
No. That would suck.

Is there anyone you can tell everything too?
No. Some things should be kept to yourself.

Are you a lover or fighter?

Do you ever believe that there were little green men that take your stuff and hide it while you sleep?
That would explain where my missing socks go. Not why but at least where, lol.

Have A Great
Weekend Y'all!!!

You think it's wrong?

Created by OnePlusYou - Online Dating

Wednesday I took youngest brother swimming. I love swimming. I waited until later in the evening to go to avoid the sun. Then again, the sun was hidden behind the smoky haze covering the sky today so it didn't matter either way really. The water felt so so very good. I love feeling the pull and strain in my muscles as I slice through the water. It rocks. =)

Today, I have my favorite t-shirt on display for HNT. Click around if you want and see what's going on. *wink* My favorite t-shirt represents my absolute favorite super hero ever. In case y'all didn't know. Though if you've read my blog with any regularity, especially lately, you already knew that eh? =D

Which reminds me, check out my boyfriend's review blog to see what he had to say about The Dark Knight.

On to HNT.

This video is called, "Does Size Matter?" It's amusing. It is not safe for work viewing, lol.

Weirdness =D

I would like:

A long back massage. Preferably from my Boyfriend back home in Texas or a nice looking chick.

A nice Foot Spa. One like this would work fine.

New comfy shoes. My poor favorite pair of DC's have taken a beating from me and are about ready to surrender and die, lol.

The Oreo cake my boyfriend makes. Oh my gosh, it's amazing and looking at it alone will make you gain a few pounds. It's worth it.

Hockey season to hurry the fuck up and come back, tehehe. =D

Of all those things, I will get the new shoes and the foot spa very soon. =)

1.) What material is your favorite for bed sheets?

High thread count Egyptian Cotton. *swoon*

2.) How often do you masturbate?

3.) What takes you the longest to do while showering?

Hmm. Probably my hair, just because it's long and I am crazy about taking care of my hair. Unless I shave in the shower instead of waxing or using veet, then shaving takes the longest. Or if I scrub the entire bottom of my feet with a pumice stone in the shower, that takes longer as well. Usually my hair is the hold up. Though I take very quick showers most of the time. A 15 minute shower is a long shower to me, lol.

4a.) What do you think is the right amount of foreplay?

Depends on the situation. Sometimes, you don't have a lot of time so that leaves foreplay to a minimum and that's fine. Sometimes, you have time to do as much as you want. At times, I'm not in the mood to bother with a lot of foreplay. Other times, I want a lot of it. Depends on my mood and the amount of time we've got to work with.
Do you spend enough time readying your partner for sex?

I think so, lol.

5.) Who tends to initiate sex more when you are in a relationship?

In my current relationship, no contest, it's me. Actually, even with the others, it's usually me doing the majority of the initiating, lol.

6.) What birth control do you use?

Condoms. I don't do pills any more because I couldn't ever do them properly. There was no point in using them if I didn't do it properly. Depo Provera was my choice because it fit my lifestyle best, I started using it at 15 and suffered very few of the downsides of it. I've been looking into IUD here lately. =)

7.) What is one thing your partner could do in bed that would instantly turn you off?

Call me the wrong name. It would instantly turn me off and instantly get them punched in the face.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Before I go...

I am *so* fucking tired right now. It's 4:10 am and I should be laying down to sleep. It's been about 12 hours or physical labor today. Packing things, lifting heavy items, unpacking things, organizing, putting things away, moving boxes and massive cleaning. Of course, there were breaks in all of that but still! Damn. The shower I took a half an hour ago was one of the best showers I have ever taken. You know when you're just so tired, sore, sweaty, dirty, sore and beat? Your muscles are screaming at you for pushing them too hard for too long? Your lower back is threatening to reach down and kick your ass? All that good stuff? Then you get in the shower. Nice, warm water spraying all over you, hitting your sore muscles and aching areas. You wash away all that dirt and grime leaving your skin fresh and clean. You wash away everything to where you're just tired but relaxed. That was my shower a little while ago. It was *awesome*, lol. I love doing physical stuff like today because it makes me feel like I'm being productive and accomplishing something good but damn my body hates me for it later.

Usually I play TMI Tuesday today but... I'm too tired right now. Maybe later I'll give it a go. Maybe not. If not, I'll just make it up next week with a double TMI. That way y'all can have twice as much random information you could live without knowing. Snazzy, eh?

Before I pass out I must ask of y'all one thing. That is this... Please remember to play Wednesday Weirdness with us tomorrow! Thank you!

By the way, my bed is so fucking comfortable. It's not even fair that my mattress is this comfortable. It's really not. I feel sorry for anyone not sleeping on a mattress of this caliber. It's amazing. That's not just me talking out my ass because I'm tired either. Not completely anyway. =) Tehe.

Sleep time now.

Why.. So.. Serious?

Hello there. I haven't been around much, writing or visiting blogs lately. Part of it is being busy from the move and busy getting settled in. Part of it is that I've had a lot on my mind lately and not wanted to write publicly about much of it. I still don't actually. Most of these things I wouldn't mind writing about if it weren't for the fact that I have family that lurk my blog. Some things aren't meant for family to know, some things are inappropriate for my family to see. Which is why my blog content got changed and looks quite a bit different. It bothers me that someone related to me could read my blog, sexy posts and half naked pictures, on a daily basis and not be bothered by it at all. It made me feel violated and angry at their invasion. If they found it and never saw it again or only checked from time to time, I wouldn't care so much. Being here on a weekly or daily basis given the things I posted, bothered me. I wouldn't want to read my mothers, brother, sister, aunt, cousin, uncle, et cetera's blog if they were posting stuff not always appropriate for those under 18. I'm sure some people would be okay with it and not care but that's not me. It's uncomfortable for me. So I contemplate what I want to post a bit more now. With that and the emotional ride I've been on lately, I just haven't cared to post much. I'm working on the emotional crap, trying to anyway.

My title of the post is from The Dark Knight. I love that movie. I think I'll be going Tuesday to see it again. It's by far my favorite Batman flick to date.

The lovely girl over at A Mad Masquerade tagged me with this little meme and I'm going to do it because I rarely turn these things down, lol.

5 things found in your bag:

1. Mini hair brush.

2. Eye drops. My allergies kill me and my eyes always act up horribly.

3. Hand sanitizer.

4. A notebook. Never know when you'll need to write something down. =)

5. Mini make up thing. It has black nail polish, black eyeliner, mascara, chap stick,
black cherry lip gloss and mini Japanese cherry blossom body lotion from Bath and Body Works and mineral concealer.

5 favourite things in your room:

1. Pillows.

2. Cell phone.

3. Laptop.

4. CD case.

5. Crayons. =D

5 things you have always wanted to do:

1. Go white water rafting.

2. Travel to a lot of different countries.

3. Write a book and have it published.

4. Own my own business.

5. Stalk Meet at least half of the Dallas Stars players.

5 things you're currently into:

1. Increasing the amount of laps I can swim.

2. Creating works of art with crayons, lol.

3. Not drinking so much alcohol.

4. Ebay.

5. Masterfully planning out ways to go see all the concerts I want to see this summer.

5 people you want to tag:

Here I Smile, All Smyles, Lydia, Macabre Girl and Kiki. Now if none of these lovely people want to play, oh well, lol. Not everyone can be as lamely cool as me. ;)

Next, I have a video for your listening pleasure. Yes, listening pleasure. No viewing pleasure save for the print and the one picture that stays stuck there through the whole song. Though for some, depending on your taste in men, it isn't a bad picture to have to look at.

This song isn't one the band has made a video of or released for radio play. It's not even up on their Myspace page. It's on their most recent CD which I like and this song appeals to me right now quite a lot. It makes me think happy thoughts about someone and some things. Click the song title for lyrics, click Theory for the bands website and click Deadman to see their Myspace page. =) I warn you now before you click play, it's a horribly sappy song.

"Heaven (Little By Little)" by Theory Of A Deadman.

Lastly... please remember to play Wednesday Weirdness with us this week! =)

Love <3

13 hours later, here I am. Of course, I mean 13 hours after the end of The Dark Knight.

All I am going to say is OH MY GOSH. I loved it. It's probably my favorite Batman yet. I wasn't at all disappointed. Anyone who knows me any kind of well at all knows I am obsessed with LOVE Batman. The ending could have been a little... more... more what I don't know, just more. It was still a good ending however. I *loved* Heath Ledger as Joker. It was like the comic book character coming to life. In my opinion. I was happy with how everyone did in their roles. I was happy with everything in general. I've been waiting so long for this movie to be out. I was apprehensive before it started. When it's something I'm looking forward to, I am always quite apprehensive somewhere in my mind about how it's going to be. I was tap tap tapping my foot on the floor before and as the movie started. That quickly went away. Fantastic movie. I'm totally going to see it again.

I'll just have to wait a few days. I normally do not go see movies on their opening weekends. I normally don't go to the midnight showings the day before the movie opening day either. I hate dealing with all the people, the cramped theaters and the general annoyance of it all. This was the one movie I made the exception for and boy was it ever worth it. Getting there over an hour early is something I never do either but again, worth it. I was for one night one of those dorky fanatics I always giggle at. I giggle at them in part because I can understand. I'm a Batman fanatic. I have a collection of books, toys, movies and things. It's the one super hero I am a total nerd about. I am excited about the movie still, 13 hours after I finished it.

I'm excited to see it again here in a few days or so. I don't care what anyone else has to say about it either. I loved it. =D

Ahem... moving on.

I don't have much else to say, lol. I'm in such a good mood today. A very good mood actually. Despite how it looks outside. It's a really hazy day. It smells like the decay of fire. Singed things, burnt wood, lazy smoke drifting and covering the blue sky. It looks like a light rain cloud covering the sky but it's smoke. It sucks. I smile every time I see a group of firemen walking down the street. Leaving their motels to go do their laundry, hit the store, grab a meal, relax and enjoy some social time. Where ever they are walking to. I smile, nod if I get their attention. They have firefighters here in California from all over CA and all over the US. From Mexico and Canada. Some from as far as New Zealand and Australia.

Yesterday, we saw Air Force One. President Bush was in Redding, CA to meet Governor Arnold to go check out the fires. I, my mom, sister and youngest brother wanted to see the plane. I wanted to see if that plane was as huge as people say it is. I didn't much care about seeing Bush wave off the plane or anything. It was just cool seeing that airplane. It's HUGE. It was also interesting to watch that thing take off and disappear so quickly, lost in the sky. It was also interesting watching all the people around. Some people were just there taking pictures and quietly watching. Some were chattering on about how soon he would be gone, not only from Redding but from office. A few others were just insanely excited by it all. It was a cool way to waste some time in the afternoon. Thankfully it wasn't all that hot out yesterday either.

I've been trying to read this book for about a month now. I'm not making much headway in it though. It's not that the book is bad, it's not. I just start and then get interrupted. Or I start and I get distracted by something else and end up more interested in that. It's not one of those books that I just can't put down but it's good. My goal is to finish it by next weekend, lol.

These are from Saturday the 12th. I'm doing them now. =D

Unconscious Mutterings.
  1. Intimidated :: Scared.

  2. Brush :: Soft hair.

  3. Masquerade :: Pretending to be what you are not.

  4. Procedure :: Surgery. Eek!

  5. Tattoos :: Beautiful art... that looks hot if done well, placed well and depending on the design.

  6. Square :: Four square! <3>
  7. Tuck :: Shirt.

  8. Boyfriend :: Love.

  9. Badass :: BATMAN!

  10. Thousand :: Dollars. Please and thank you.
That's all y'all. =) Thanks for the all the HNT comments from yesterday! I still have tons to get around to and replies to make. Plus I have two tags from beautiful ladies that I'll be getting to.. since I love doing them. =)

Have a great
weekend Y'all!!!

HNT: Travel Edition Part 2

So here we have more pictures from the travels. I am a big dork, a goofy girl, silly willy, nerd, whatever you want to call it. I take silly pictures and make no apologies for it. I don't see myself as hot nor sexy. I rarely try to capture myself in that way. I am silly, dorky, cute on a good day and lots of fun to be around. If I do say so myself. Those are the things I try to portray most often in the pictures I take and in the pictures others take of me. I have no idea if I succeed in the eyes of others but I am amused trying and I think I do pretty well at acting like a dork in front of the camera. Yep yep yep.

I love animal crackers, see?...

I always bite their heads off first. =D......

Talk about a close up!......

Thursday! =)

The Bucket List...

I'm watching The Bucket List right now. It's with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. I didn't see it when it came out in theaters. I wanted to but I wasn't sure about it. My dad has a ton of DVD's that I want to see. Movies I just never had the time or money to go see. Movies I wasn't sure on and didn't want to waste the cash on seeing. I've already seen the first 40 minutes of this movie before now. I'm not missing anything by typing this out. It's kind of sad but amusing as well.

Something from the movie is Morgan Freeman talks about knowing how much time you'll have left versus never knowing when you will die. I got to thinking about whether or not I would want to know such a thing or not. If I could have my time of death down to the year, month, day and exact time handed to me with it being guaranteed that I wouldn't kick it one second before the time written down for me. Would I want to know? Would I not want to know? I see plus sides to both sides. If I knew, I would know the amount of time I have left exactly. I could find ways to fit in every thing I want to do before I die; make my own "bucket list" so to speak and get it all done before I pass. I could have the time to get used to the idea that this is when I will be dying. My loved ones would know and have the time to get used to it. The problem in that is, even when you know, you're still never fully prepared for it when it does happen. It still hurts like hell and you're still sad. It's only marginally easier knowing it's coming. It would also be depressing know that you're only living those days with an exact timer to when your life will end. After much contemplation, I decided that there's no way I want to know. I have a list of things I want to do before I die. I have some some of them. I do plenty of things for fun. I don't take life very seriously in all honesty. I'm only here for as long as I'm here, I want to enjoy my loved ones and the space I'm occupying while I have it all. If I do everything I want to, that's great, wonderful even. If I die before I do, I at least want to know that I enjoyed what time I have.

Wednesday Weirdness #12

This week, the Weirdness comes from Another Suburban Mom. She sent in the questions and I thought it was a pretty neat idea. She admits she was inspired by Mary McCormack in "In Plain Sight" for these questions. Thanks ASM! Remember, if you ever want to submit questions or ideas, feel free to do so! On to the weirdness!

If you could enter the witness protection program, but only you, no contact with family or friends, would you? Why or why not?

There was a time, not even that long ago at all, that probably would have said yes. There have been a hundred or more times that I wished I could take off and start over new somewhere else. Tons of times I felt I could just in essence, disappear and not have it be missed too much by anyone. It was an appealing idea that toyed with many, many, many times in my head. A few times, even planned out the cost to do something like that and started saving money for it. I obviously never did that. I am grateful I never did. Now, I wouldn't do it if I didn't have to. =) I'd hate to have to leave my family, boyfriend and awesome friends behind forever. That would suck. I don't want to run away from my life anymore. Just myself. Sometimes. Lol.

Assuming you had to go:

Where would you move to?

I would want to move every five years. You know, to be safe and everything. That way it would be more difficult to be found that way by whatever bad guy is looking for me. Plus, if I can't have my current friends and my family, there's no point in staying in one place forever. ;) Starting with Italy, then Finland, then Amsterdam and then Ireland. I'd figure out more locations after that.

What would you choose for your new name?

Autumn Isabella Turco. =) The Turco part could be negotiable. Autumn Isabella took me too damn long to come up with to be changed, lol.

How would you reinvent yourself?

I'd be mysterious and not let anyone close to me. I'd give as little information as I could. Make acquaintances, have lovers but never anything too serious. Wear eccentric clothing, more eccentric anyway, lol. Gothic old style things. Odd hair styles and coloring jobs. Colored contact lenses in odd colors and shapes.
I'd do odd jobs. Things I enjoy. Bar tending. Art. Cooking. Photography. Writing. Singing. I would just try and enjoy life and keep things as simple as I could.

Good thing I shouldn't ever have to worry about that. Actually, I'd probably ask to have surgery done to change my looks greatly enough I couldn't be recognized and then very slowly work my way back in to my old life. Take a few years away perhaps. I have no clue how I would handle such a thing. I doubt I will ever have to find out or truly worry about it, thankfully.

Happy Wednesday!!!

I took my little brother swimming today. We spent about 6 hours swimming and lounging around outside. The only break was a 15 minute break for lunch and then 15 minutes more to let that food calm down before being rowdy in the water some more. It was quite fun. My little brother has a sunburn but it isn't too bad. We applied sunscreen to him a couple times. He's just so pale, the sun couldn't resist, lol. I'm red but I never burn. I'll be tan tomorrow. I'm awesome like that. =) People watching at the pool is great too. I wanted to slap quite a few people. Especially the guy who put his face in his girlfriend's crotch and shook his face around down there for a few minutes. I wouldn't care but there were little kids out there and he did it in front of them. I didn't punch anyone or do anything silly. Sigh. I hate the sun but I absolutely love swimming and being in the water in general. =)

I'm happy I changed my blog around. I feel like this layout fits me so much better. I look at it and feel that it reflects me greatly. I love it. =)

I still want to post some pictures from the trip from Texas to California. I'll get to it sooner or later, lol.

There's a lack of posting going on around here lately. I'm semi settled in in CA. I need to buy some things for organization purposes so things aren't so cluttered. I haven't been too busy to write. I just haven't felt like writing lately. Even when I don't blog, I usually write. Just to clear my head. To get away for half an hour or however long I end up writing for. I really enjoy it. I haven't been writing lately at all. It's not for lack of things to say. It's not for lack of things I want to get out of my mind or off my chest. I just haven't felt the urge to. I've got the want but just haven't had the drive to do it. I have been going around reading blogs but I haven't been commenting. I just seem mentally stuck lately, lol.

1. What were you known as in School (Jock, Princess, Geek)?

I wasn't know as one thing. I played a lot of sports. I drank, smoked, did drugs and partied a lot. I dressed all in black and "goth" clothing, dark makeup, piercings and crazy hair colors.
I was/am really intelligent and always made the honor roll. I have always had a very diverse group of friends. I never really fit in one place or another.

2. What were you really?

Myself. Which doesn't mean I was happy with that, I wasn't. I'm still not happy with myself. I just know who I am and accepted myself flaws and all. Being completely happy with all that mess (me, lol) still hasn't happened yet. I'm sure one day it will. =)

3. If you could go back and tell your 16 year old self one thing, what would it be?

I'd tell myself to slow down.

4. If you could erase one moment from your school days what would it be?

I have no idea honestly. Everything has happened the way it was and got me to where I am now. I'm okay with that for the most part so why erase something that happened so long ago anyway?

5. Who did you not date (or more) that you wish you did?

There is no one I didn't date that I wish I had dated. There are a couple I dated and tons more I pursued that I should not have, lol.

*Bonus* If you went to prom, describe your outfit.

I didn't go to any prom. I got invited to two and didn't go to either. One of my ex's wanted me to go to his with him and I just had so little interest in it. He ended up not going anyway.
I saw it as a giant waste of time and had zero interest in ever going to a thing like that. No offense to anyone. I was more interested in any after-prom parties I might be able to attend, lol. =)

Please remember to play Wednesday Weirdness tomorrow! Another Suburban Mom submitted some questions in recently and we decided to post them up tomorrow. Come play with us! ;)

Hello California!

Well we made it! Safe and sound. We really pushed yesterday to get here. We arrived at my dad's place around 2 AM late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. Depending how you want to look at it, lol. I got some pictures from New Mexico and Arizona. I will post those here and there when I get time to get them onto the computer. I got some rather goofy ones of myself, some of which I posted in my most recent HNT post. I didn't get any cool pictures in CA from the trip. My dad lives in Northern CA and as most of y'all know, they have massive wildfire problems right now. Don't think for a second anyone on the news is exaggerating the problem please. There's smoke lingering just about everywhere. The skies are hazy from smoke and the smell of charred things and fire lingers in the air. Certain times, when the wind is blowing right, it rains ash around. It really sucks. It's nice being around my family though. My dad amuses the hell out of me honestly. That is, when he's not driving me nuts, lol. He's great.

Thank you all so much for the comments on my last HNT post. Thanks for all the well wishes for a good and safe travel too, in comments and in e-mail. I appreciate it a bunch! =) There will be plenty more goofy pictures to come from me being bored and having too much free time during the car trip out here from Texas. I get bored, I take pictures. I'm quite naturally a goofy ass girl. Taking goofy pictures is amusing when you've got not much else to do and not many options. Lol. =)

So my Boyfriend started a review blog. So far he's done reviews for a few movies he's seen recently. Wanted, Hancock and I think he has the one for Hellboy II up already as well. Y'all should go check that blog out. Please and thank you. =)

Now... off to get started on replying to e-mails!

Have a great weekend y'all! =)
