Consider yourself warned by the post title. :)
I went to work Monday night feeling relaxed and chill. Not for any particular reason. I had just spent my day reading a book I'm really in to. Followed by some online Christmas shopping since I hadn't started any yet and managed to knock a few people off the list in the time I spent shopping online. Between that I was texting with one of my best friends and texting a little with Boyfriend. Then it was time to head to work. Very light traffic and I didn't encounter any bad, crazy, bitchy, psychotic, angry, impatient shouldn't have a license drivers. Sweet. I got to work and it was fine there too. A little steady but not busy as fuck and not slow as can be. Nice going and working with mostly people I get along well with.
After a while, I started feeling sick. I went to try and throw up. That didn't help much. Nothing really came up honestly. Then my stomach started clenching and cramping. Then there was slight fever and then came the nausea. I left two and a half hours early. I felt like shit and my stomach was in so much pain. It felt like the jaws of life were stuck in there and trying to find their way out. Ouch and ouch. Turns out, I had food poisoning.
I've been up all night throwing up. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal much with diarrhea. Mostly, it's been me throwing up. My family joked with me after the first time asking if my lungs were still in tact. I joked back that I probably just threw up some internal organs but obviously nothing important. It's their way of making sure I'm okay and my way of letting them know I'm okay. I've spent more time in the bathroom than I normally would in several days. The pain in my stomach eased up a little bit but not too much yet. My throat is sore and quite irritated from the vomiting. It feels raw and gross honestly. It's bugging me and I'm hoping I don't throw up again because I'm sure that will just make it feel worse. Then again, maybe my stomach will hurt less if I do so meh. I've been using a heating pad on my stomach which has actually helped the abdominal pains not feel so intense. I read that using one either will help or make it worse. Which, with my luck, had me a little apprehensive to give my sister's heating pad any use at all, lol. So far it's helping enough to be worthwhile so it's good I suppose. I've never had food poisoning before and I'll be quite happy if I never get it again. I hate any kind of stomach ailment. BLECH.
I'm not playing TMI Tesday today. I think this post offers up more information y'all never wanted to know than the questions would anyway, lol. So it is, in a sense, a TMI post, just not the meme variety.
Oh well. ;) Don't forget, Wednesday Weirdness is tomorrow. Questions should be posted later this afternoon by... I have no idea. Lol. Not me so that's good because I wouldn't have shit to show y'all any time soon. I'm sure they will rock though.
I'm off to drink more liquids and to attempt some more rest.
Happy Tuesday y'all!
